one

woojin works at a cafe near in his high school. he has it as his part time job for he is bored with his life and maybe, have extra income and not to depend on his daily allowance on his student life. it is his last year in high school anyways, and college will need more money and time. it would be a great opportunity to save something on his pockets before continuing his path in the next few months.

he's not poor, he's not that rich either. people would come up and ask him why he's working if he's a son of a wealthy businessman. calling back to his family under the secondary elites in seoul.

it was a fine afternoon, the sun will be setting down in two hours and the cafe is not really busy. students from different schools will come and go in a few minutes after their last ring of their bell for the day.

“woojin, can you hand me that cup, my favorite customer will come by today.” his co-worker said who's gesturing his hand for the cup beside woojin.

“is it that girl again, jihoon?” woojin asked as he handed the white cup inside the cupboard at the back of the counter.

“yeah, actually,” jihoon chuckled as he poured the ingredients and went to make a bittersweet coffee for the said customer.

“she's been visiting you here for weeks since the spring started. how are you related to her?” woojin said checking on the menu for reviewing.

“i told you she's a family friend,” woojin just gave him a nod as he put the menu away. he went taking the orders from the new customers instead. “will daehwi and jinyoung catch up tonight? it's their dismissal time.”

“they're on their way, probably.” woojin shrugged.

and while doing each other's job, jihoon's awaited customer arrived. the scent of the strong coffee welcomed her as it enters her nostrils, admiring the temptational taste of the drink. she smiled at jihoon as she waved at him, earning a hug from the lad.

“yeonseo!” jihoon called hugging her tightly.

woojin's attention switched from the frappes to them. he knows that girl has been visiting this cafe to drink coffee and to see jihoon but he just appreciated her beauty.

“hello, i'm sorry i'm a bit late,” she apologized.

“not a thing for me to deal with, how's school? too bad i can't stand guard on you since we go to different schools.” jihoon sighed as he lead the girl towards the usual spot where she stays.

“ah, that is a thing that i wanna talk to you about.” yeonseo said sitting down as well as jihoon who suddenly felt something exciting.

“okay, okay, but before that, let me get your coffee.” yeonseo chuckled about how excited jihoon was. she just let him go away then there's woojin who couldn't stop watching them. especially the girl. he didn't realize that jihoon noticed him. “stop staring, she'll melt.”

“i was just curious about the both of you. mind telling me after your business?” woojin asked avoiding the thought that his eyes is actually on yeonseo's image.

“later,” jihoon said taking a tray with yeonseo's coffee on it.

and as soon as jihoon left, that's when the time jinyoung and daehwi arrived, seeing jihoon with the girl. they both immediately rushed to woojin to get information.

“hyung that girl is here again, i swear to god, i am having the hunch that she's jihoon's girlfriend.” daehwi said gossiping with woojin. the older boy sighed and rolled his eyes, as he went to proceed doing the frappe.

“i swear to god daehwi, you really like too much information.” jinyoung butted in as he tied his apron around his waist.

“well i am just curious. and of course, she's beautiful and jihoon hyung is handsome, perfect couple.” daehwi cheered up.

“you have a point.” jinyoung agreed. “hey woojin hyung, do you know her?” he added nudging the busy boy. woojin had his eyes again to the girl who's smiling at jihoon, slowly taking a sip on her coffee.

“he said she's just a family friend.” woojin shrugged.

“wah~ jihoon hyung has a very good taste.” jinyoung said as he was amused with his own hyung.

“ya, don't be like that, your fans will get jealous.” woojin scolded him.

“oh, they will be more jealous if they find out that i am crushing on someone.” jinyoung smirked as daehwi and woojin rolled their eyes.

“the thing is, that crush of yours doesn't like you at all. sorry to burst your bubble, but she loves guanlin.” daehwi spilled out making woojin chuckled beside him. jinyoung's expression changed from sweet to annoyed af. but woojin didn't mind him and daehwi. besides, he has his attention to the girl with jihoon.

he observed how jihoon entertains the girl, they way she smiles is too gentle and sweet but too bad jihoon has a job to fulfill that he cuts his entertainment and ran around to do his part time. of course the girl understands that he asked her to wait for him until his shift is done. she agreed, and besides, she misses jihoon.

“hyung just tell us the truth, and nothing but the truth.” daehwi said cornering jihoon before he could go inside the counter's entrance for the employees.

“what is it?” jihoon asked innocently.

“is she your girlfriend?” daehwi asked. “don't say no, you guys were so sweet.”

jihoon chuckled. “well, i wish i have feelings for her but nah~ she's just my best friend and she likes someone else.” jihoon answered as he looked at jinyoung and woojin whose faces were giving the curiosity feeling.

“that's a total disappointment, i thought you guys were a thing.” daehwi smirked.

“well, if you could help me change her perspective on the guy she likes and like me instead then, that's great.” jihoon stated.

“you like her?” jinyoung asked making woojin nervous.

“not in a romantic way, i told you she's my bestfriend.” jihoon insisted.

“well then, can woojin hyung date her?” jinyoung asked making woojin pushed him playfully.

“you dimwit.”
