"Aren't you too old to own a diary? Much less write in one?" he asked, eyeing her as she caps her pen placing it on top of a closed notebook.

"You're never too old to write. Besides, it is the only thing where I can confide my thoughts and fully express myself." she replied, shrugging.

"Why not talk rather than writing it on a piece of paper? You can always tell me stuff."

she contemplated on this; taking a long sip of her coffee, she then answered,

"Yes I could but there is a big difference between paper and people. I think it is safer to pour out your soul into a piece of paper. You can voice out everything without interruption, cry and lash out without hesitation, and express every bit of what you are without the feeling of being suppressed. People are people. Believe me when I say, You will get judged."

"I will never judge you." he immediately replied.

to this, she sadly smiled.

"You already did."
