Different faces hidden behind a mask
beneath the facade lies something deeper
A question that is waiting to be asked,
Did society kill the teenager?

He wore a smile and a laugh equally well
shrouding the dark circles below his sunken eyes
He looks okay but can you even tell?
He's tired of living in a world full of lies.

She wears make up and pretty clothes
Like the plumage of a bird on her nest
But little do you know,
about the scars hidden underneath her dress.

He was the top of the class
Acing every test and making it look easy
But it made his health deteriorate fast
His Straight As intoxicated him and made him sickly

She was the perfect friend, the perfect student, and the perfect daughter
She's a machine; Hard, cold and alone.
She does her best in saving people from their monsters
but who will save her from her own?

We are challenged but driven
We are flawed; still we're content and happy
We have been judged but now we have spoken
We are the youth, and this is our side of the story.
