Chapter 6: The City

Chapter 6:
The City

We drive along the road for what seems like forever. When we finally stop it's because Taylor had to go on a bathroom break; so we pull up to a tall building with broken glass everywhere and pull out our weapons. All of us set inside the building ready for anything that comes at us.

We knock then slowly open the door closing it when we get inside. When the door closes it echos through the giant lobby. We proceed with caution through the huge building when we get further into the building we see that it is a hotel; great. Good, non-creepy stuff always happens in hotels. Said no one ever.

" Well at least they're lots of bathrooms" Taylor said as if she could read my mind and was trying to lighten up the mood.

"Lots of people are in hotels though" I said back.

Then we heard footsteps; running footsteps. It was a man, about 40 who was sprinting towards us and telling us to run. That's when I saw it; about 50 zombies chasing after him.

"THIS is why we don't go in hotels!" I shout.

"Ya ya who cares, run!" Adam yelled
With that we all ran towards the door, we weren't far away but it seemed like miles. Every once in a while I would look back to see if the man was still running, but when I looked back this time; he was on the ground with all the zombies piling on top of him. They were taking bites out of his arms and legs; he was screaming in extreme pain. Everyone stopped and looked back at the man who was becoming a bunch of zombies dinner.

That's when the zombies started to get up and come towards us. We started backing up slowly when Taylor tripped; then I tripped over her. Adam was already at the door when he looked back and saw us on the ground.

James tried to pull me up but the zombies were already reaching us so he started shooing the ones closet to us.

I started to back up and Taylor did the same. Eventually I was behind Taylor so she was closer to the zombies when James missed one while reloading.
It was about to take a bite out of her and all I could do was watch. James noticed this too and stood there about to do something when a zombie started clawing at him. He took the butt of his gun and smashed his face in.

Taylor was screaming as the zombie came closer; fumbling around for her axe. But it was too late.
