Chapter 7:
Adam
"What's that from?" I ask; still looking at his leg.
Then everyone else notices too.
"Was that from one of those things?"
Taylor asks.
"No it wasn't" he replies; a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders. He still might be okay.
"It was from Taylor's axe. When she ran by me it hit me in the leg."
"Ok, now Taylor, did you kill anything with your axe?" I ask looking concerned
"Ah, no; I was too busy fumbling for it when I fell" thank god! He still might be safe.
"Good, Adam it looks like your safe for now but were gonna need to cover that up and have someone watching you at all times." I say and with that James gets out a starts getting something from the bag of food we got I'm the back. Then he pulls out a first aid kit.
"I saw this and I thought it could come in handy" he says holding up the first aid kit.
He pulls out some gauze and a sterilizing wipe then starts to go to work on Adams leg. Once he's done he gets back in the passengers seat and I take off, continuing our trip out of the city.
It takes us a couple hours to get to edge of the city; but when we do it's already night so I decide to pull over and talk to everyone. Taylor is already sleeping so Adam wakes her up and we plan on what to do now.
"Well I'm tired so I don't wanna drive anymore. Anyone else want to drive?" I ask.
No one answers so I just say, "alrighty then, I guess were sleeping here for the night. But Adam you don't look so comfortable; do you and Taylor want to switch with James and I?"
He vigorously nods his head so we all switch. The only reason I said that was because I saw Taylor leaning really close to him and he looked uncomfortable by it. But James and I have no problem taking their place because we are actually a thing.
So Adam decides that he will drive for a little bit, but since he hurt his leg the moment he stepped on the gas peddle he let out a yelp. So we just decided to stay on the side of the highway and hope that nothing bad happens.
