jungkook's eyes widened and his heartbeat picked up the pace as he read the message. what the fuck? who is this? how did they get my number?

his breath hitched and he stumbled, having to hold onto a street lamp for the support of his weak figure. once again, the tears shot into his eyes, burning in the corners and threatening to stream over his face. the young man's inhales became louder and heavier until he was on the verge of hyperventilating. his thumb trembled over the message box.

it happily told him "type here" but for jungkook, this wasnt an invitation. this was pressure, full-on making his heart clench tightly and his wobbly legs almost gave in under him. with trembling fingers, he typed in a response.

jungkook:
wtf, who are you?!

quickly, he put his phone away and turned around, feeling watched all of a sudden. he kept in that hiding, protecting position until he had reached his home and was inside. as soon as he entered his room, he threw his bag into a corner and sat down on the side of his bed, sighing loudly. finally, his shoulders relaxed again after he had to be afraid of being watched.

the message was always beside him, right in his pocket, where his phone was at. even in the following days, he never stopped thinking and panicking about it, trying to find out who the person was. they never answered on his text, and so he felt helpless like a lamb close to a fox.

not even taehyung would listen to him when he tried to tell him that he felt watched every time he left his apartment. he was starting to think the older male lost interest in him but instead picked more interest in soohun. in case taehyung decided, he would choose soohun anyways.

each day that passed became more lonely, jungkook's heart beginning to feel as empty as it did before he got to know taehyung. there were moments when he jolted because of him appearing suddenly behind it, with the younger already feeling stalked. these days, he was scared to be attacked from behind without a warning, but he was also afraid the elder male would stop doing it entirely then.
how could it come to this? jungkook knew he had always loved the gentle touch and surprise hugs taehyung gave him, but now he felt the anxiousness freeze his body each time he did it. how could this happen by a single message?

at times, jungkook thought it could be him. the unknown number who threatened and confused him. what would happen if it was taehyung? could he ever trust him again?

though the messages kept appearing, the young man had never answered to them ever since the first time. of course, this was the right thing to do but he was starting to get curious if it really was taehyung. he wouldn't have a reason to do this, however, he was the only possible person to get his number and text him. there was simply no one else.

so after two weeks, the boy finally looked at the messages...

jungkook gulped, his throat tightening and a lump was already distinguishable.

he looked away from the phone, vision starting to blur. but he pulled through.

sniffling, he scrolled further down, having no idea why he would be called a liar. there was never anything he said wrong to taehyung. the least thing he wanted to believe was that this person could be his crush, the person he loved.
