     jungkook woke up in a cold sweat the next day, breathing heavily as he laid his hand on his forehead in relief. fucking nightmares...

     it took him at least three seconds to notice that — one — he wasn’t wearing the shirt of which he thought he had fallen asleep wearing anymore, and two — next to him, a sleeping taehyung snorted quietly.

     suddenly, jungkook began panicking, looking if his own or his friend’s shirt was somewhere on the floor or in the bed but it wasn’t. if it wasn’t for taehyung raising his voice a moment later, the younger would have completely freaked out. not just that he was half naked but also the fact that there was his crush once again sleeping in the same bed as himself made his heart race.

     “calm down, it was warm yesterday when we went to sleep..” taehyung mumbled out halfway into the fluffy pillow. meanwhile jungkook let out a relieved sigh, getting the picture of him and taehyung doing — well, you know — out of his head.

     “what did you think though?” the older questioned, sitting up against his will and looked over to jungkook who was still struggling with his confusion. wiggling his eyebrows at him, taehyung ran a hand through his messy morning hair.

     a pink flush on his face, jungkook’s gaze fell down to his hands in silence, his mind thinking with no pause about what he could respond until taehyung giggled.

     “man, calm down” he hummed, scooting closer to the irritated boy and taking his veined hand in his own.

     “it’s cute when you don’t have an answer,” he cooed. jungkook couldn’t even react in any way when tae had already placed a light peck on his lips. he could recognize his familiar comforting scent, feel his hair tickle him in the crook of his shoulder and his warm breathe colliding with the smooth skin. “i love it when you are like this.”

     since when is he like this? we kissed. that’s all... maybe he’s just happy to be with me after the time we spent together?

     “you don’t know what you are s-saying, hyung” jungkook’s voice was cracky from the excited nervousness he felt whilst his heart literally jumped out of his toned chest.

     “i do know what i am saying,” another soft kiss this time on his neck had jungkook snapping finally and moving away.

     “stop!” he whined, eyes pressed together in fake pout. surely he loved this new habit but was it really right to do this just like that? what if taehyung just played him?

     “yesterday you still liked it.” taehyung’s unpurposely seductive whispering voice rung in jungkook’s ears, making him pull up his eyebrows in embarrassment.

     “time to leave..!” he called more to himself than to his friend and got up in a rush, pulling a black sweater and comfy pants with slippers on. taehyung blinked a few times before getting up as well, throwing on his shirt and the jeans he had worn before going to sleep.

     a short while later, he was hugging jungkook goodbye and closed the front door behind him, leaving the other alone.

     the apartment felt so empty now that quirky taehyung was gone, he always got a glint of sunshine in jungkook’s seemingly so gray life. it was still hard to deal with all his problems on his own but now that he had a new friend, things were going easier.

     returning to his room, jungkook wanted to make his bed in the first place. he was about to throw the blanket up when he could recognize a low bing noise from near his pillow.

     my phone...?

     actually, his phone was put on “no sounds” all the time so it couldn’t be his own.

     “taehyung must have forgotten it... knucklehead.”

     staring at the silver phone with a questioned look, jungkook was inbetween two possible actions: get the phone and tell taehyung he forgot it or first look who sent a message and then tell taehyung he forgot it. the temptation was high — and eventually, the boy lost against it.

     he unlocked the phone and his eyes widened in both shock and surprise at what he saw.
