Betty POV
It was the day after graduation and Jughead was taking me out on a date to the movies but I didn't feel to good, I wasn't sure if I was sick or if I just didn't want to see Jug after yesterday. I was invited to a party after graduation which I'm guessing Jug was invited to as well, we were going to go together. He was supposed to meet at my house for 5:30pm but he didn't turn up and when I tired calling him he wouldn't answer so I had to go on my own.
The day before- the after party
Archie"Betty, you ok? Where's Jughead?" "Not here" I replied. "I get that but why?" Archie asked giving me a hug for comfort. "I don't know, he doesn't care I guess" I responded quite angrily "hmm, maybe he forgot anyways Veronica has big celebrations with her Family so may not be able to come  to the party but if you're still going you can come with me?" Archie asked nicely "sure" I said. Everyone just looked at me weirdly "where's Jughead?" "Did he let you down?" "He's not right for you". Some were nice comments and looked concerned about me because I was a little upset. "Betty are you ok? Can I at least get you a drink or something? I don't want my best friend looking sad all evening" Archie pleaded "I'm fine, maybe Jug's not for me. At least V has a good reason and had the decency to tell you" I replied letting out my anger. "Well part of her thinks I should be with you, she thinks you're a bit vulnerable and Jug can't exactly change that he might make it worse being a serpent and all" Archie explained
Today
Jughead "Archie, hey, why were you at Betty's house?" "Alice asked if I could look after her for the night in case she got drunk or sick since you weren't there with her" Archie answered not to pleased to see Jughead. "With her where?" Jughead questioned Archie"oh the party you were supposed to go to with Betty but didn't and don't say you didn't know I heard you wouldn't even answer the phone when she tried calling you" "Jughead... Your here" I said a little confused "Betty did you call me yesterday?" Jug asked me "yes I tried calling you because  you didn't come to pick me up at 5:30 so I went to the party with Archie" I exclaimed angrily "and don't say you didn't know because you would've at least received a notification on your phone". I was really angry at Jughead that I didn't want to see him, he had taken it too far, he didn't even show any sign that he actually cared unlike Archie who will always be there for me. "So you go to Archie then... Of course " Jug shouted "I might have hurt Betty before but at least I'm not a flake like you whose date had to go alone" Archie commented to Jugs words. " look Jug it would've been nice if you could have a least called me, I didn't think you seemed to care, what were you doing? I uttered. Archie walked up to me giving me a hug before he got Alice to speak to Jug thinking it was the best idea.  It was. "What's wrong Betty?, it seemed like you had fun last night why are you now sad?" My mum (Alice) asked "seemed" I responded Alice"..." "You can ask Jughead seeing as he wasn't actually there" I said. I started crying a little so mom hugged me and asked Archie to bring me inside while she spoke to Jug.  It didn't take Alice long to realise why I was upset and understand Jughead's little reasons I could never properly except. 'I'm a weirdo I don't fit it in'

"Betty I'm  so sorry, what about are plans for the future we were going to live together, start a family, I still love you and was stupid but can change" Jughead told me "I don't know Jughead... It's difficult, maybe V was right after all" I said "right about what?" Jug asked. I my jaw just dropped, I went silent not knowing how to tell him. I felt cold and terrified but how could I be scared of my own boyfriend. He looked at me weirdly not sure how to react, he just sat there patiently waiting for me to explain like it didn't bother him. I felt sore, my body was clenched tightly together in need of untangling. How would I tell him? I don't. "Whatever it is doesn't matter, I love you Betty" jug exclaimed. I believed him.
