Tia Johnson wakes up from a coma of 5 months. Life changes around her tremendously. In the second part of the DOWN SOUTH series, Tia learns who's real and who's not.
I sighed to myself as I sat on the couch in Sherhonda's living room.
" Somebody checked on Kentrell?" Kendell asked breaking the silence.
Sherhonda, Teelee, Tamia and I both looked up at him and shook our heads. " Nah he need time alone."
Soon as we heard the news we rushed over to Sherhonda's house to tell her the news and when we arrived both baby k and k3 were present which made kentrell get emotional.
It was surreal to me because out of all 3 years me and Kentrell been friends, I have not once seen him cry and today was the first time.
We watched as the kids played together on the floor for what might be the last time. Taylin, Kaliyah, baby k, Kayden and K3.
" Mane this some bullshit." Kendell stormed off.
I stood up from my seat on the couch and tried catching up with kendell. "Wait, Kendell!"
I felt a grip on my arm causing me to look down and see Tamia. " Let him go, he going through something."
I sighed and sat back down on the couch.
" I could kill that bitch." I mumbled referring to Starr.
The doorbell rung causing me to stand up, only to be pulled back down by Tamia. " Don't do nothing stupid."
" Oh I won't." I said before getting right back up and going to answer the door.
I had a few words for Starr. The same girl that made me fight on the same day I was released from the hospital after having my baby and the same girl that caused me hell for 3 years straight.
I twisted the knob to the door and became face to face with Starr. I then felt my body being pushed over to the side and another body walking up on the side of me. It was Kentrell.
" You stupid bitch!"
I heard a slap to the face occur, However I didn't see it.
I lifted my head up and noticed Starr holding her face and Kentrell being held back by Sherhonda.
" Let me go ma!"
" Just get your kids and go." I said.
Starr nodded her head and rushed inside the house to get both her kids. I then turned around and seen Sherhonda, teelee and Tamia trying to hold Kentrell.
I sighed and went to grab a hold of Kentrell. " Bae just let her get her kids and leave. You don't gotta hear from her again."
" ight, just let me go." He managed to say, as he struggled to breathe. Sherhonda, Teelee, and Tamia then all let him go at the same time.
" I just wanna see my boys fo' the last time. Can i do that?" He asked looking over at me.
I bit down on my bottom lip, as I tried to avoid myself from crying. " Yeah Kentrell, Let me go get em."
I made my way back to the living room and saw the kids all playing with each other. Starr stood on the other side of the room and collected the baby toys and everything that belonged to them.
" Can He see the kids before you go?" I asked.
Starr looked over at me with tears in her eyes and slowly nodded her head and i nodded back as I bent down to get both baby k and k3.
" They go bye bye?" Kayden asked looking up at me.
" Um yeah. Baby k tell your brothers and sister bye." I smiled looking down at baby k in my arm.
" Bye bye." He waved .
" Say bye bye k3." I chuckled looking down at k3 in my other arm. They all said bye to each other which was kind of emotional, considering they had no idea what was going on.
I sighed before walking out of the livingroom and making my way to the foyer. I handed the kids to Kentrell and he instantly put his head down.
" My lit' niggas." He chuckled, holding back his tears in his watery eyes.
" Yall got so big mane...Hate it gotta end like dis." He said.
I held a big knot in my throat and watched as Sherhonda wiped the tears that fell down her face, and teelee just stood against the wall and shook her head .
" Luh yall." Kentrell spoke up and said.
Starr appeared in the foyer which caused much tension. " Uh Kentrell." I warned. Kentrell looked up and noticed Starr, which caused me to walk towards Kentrell and grab the kids.
I looked down at them and planted kisses on both of there cheeks. " Love y'all." I smiled before handing them over to Starr.
I sniffled and noticed a tear sliding down my face.
" Aww man." I mumbled watching as starr walked over to the door.
She turned around and looked at Kentrell one last time before leaving out the door.
" Why yall just ain't let me slap ha?" Tamia said, breaking the silence.
