" Mane I quit, You cheating. " Kd shouted pointing towards Boomer.
" How?" Boomer mugged with the stack of uno cards in his hands.
" Nigga You just looked at the cards." Kd argued. Everybody laughed as they watched the two bicker back and forth.
Today was suppose to be my last day in the hospital but the way I was feeling made me wanna stay more days. However, It made me feel better that Kentrell and his friends made a effort to come see me while I was in the hospital.
" I quit, Yall actin like yall ain't neva played this bullshit ass game." Kentrell said, slapping his set of cards down on the floor.
"It's always the black ass niggas..." Kennedy mumbled as she held her son King in her arms. She seated on the other side of the room with Tamia.
" Kennedy Mind yo business li' bro." Boomer asserted.
" He ain't neva just call you lil bro." I said as I chuckled.
" Definitely did." Tamia added.
The door opened causing everybody to turn their heads. My mom walked in alongside my dad with Kaliyah In his arms. The room was filled with lots of Tension, You could tell.
Kentrell looked down at his phone and scrolled without saying a word. Even though Tanay's death happened months ago, it still affected all of us.
" Hey y'all." My mom greeted while My dad held a bothered look upon his face.
" Hey ma" Me and Tamia spoke at the same time, while everybody else just said, " Hey" or either " Wassup."
" How you doing big girl?" My mom asked as she walked over towards me in the hospital bed.
" Good, I guess. Kind of sore." I told her.
Never in life did I imagine losing a baby, especially my first son. It was so surreal, You know? A whole 9 months of growing up and learning how to care for a fatherless child, all gone to waste.
" Well you happy about getting out of here? You can finally go home and sleep in your bed and not this hospital bed." She told me.
I nodded with a slight smile upon my face.
" Mama." Kaliyah babbled.
I removed my hand from under the hospital blanket and waved at her. "Hey Baby."
" So what we waiting for?" Tamia questioned from across the room.
" The nurse..." Kentrell added in a Duh tone.
" She gotta approve everything and make sure she okay then she'll probably get somebody to bring a wheelchair." My mom explained.
" Tia we go gon' head and get up outta hea. Kentrell needa get ready to drop this album. Yall need help with anythang?" Kentrell Manager, Montana said.
" Nawl she straight, Imma stay." Kentrell added causing all of the boys to pause and look at him like he was crazy.
" Yb son, we needa get his shit straight mane." Montana spoke back.
" You trippin son." Babyjoe added back.
" If he don't wanna go then he don't gotta go....Kentrell you wanna stay?" Kennedy asked.
Kentrell looked up and nodded his head firmly, causing many lip smacks to occur. Babyjoe shook his head and stormed out the hospital door without saying goodbye.
