Repeating the same thing over and over again got tiring, I was ready for a change. I wasn't sure what I wanted though. Maybe it was time for a place of my own again.
" You sure you ready to move again?" My dad asked, sitting across from me at the kitchen table.
4 weeks ago was Tanay's funeral and of course I didn't attend, Nor Tamia and since my mom had to work she didn't either. But since she was off of work today, she decided to invite him over since she seen he was going through a rough time.
" Yeah I'm ready" I told him.
"Mm, You moving to atlanta with yo babydaddy?" He asked me.
" Hell N-.....I mean no" I asserted.
Kentrell was living in Atlanta by himself, but he had a lil instagram thot to keep him company, of course. However, me and devontae was still going strong, just a week ago we made it official.
I never been this happy, and I liked it.
" Where to then?" he asked me taking a bite into his apple.
" I wanna stay here....Maybe in new orleans or something" I shrugged.
" mm, New orleans? Sounds good. Your sho' you gon' be good?" He asked me.
I Gave him a of course look, along with a smile." Yeah Imma be good" I told him.
I wasn't exactly sure of how I was gonna work and take care of Kaliyah at the same time but i was gonna get it figured out.
" So you wanna go look for houses today or you got plans?" He asked me.
I smacked my lips looking down at my watch, " Dad I got plans today" I laughed. I stood up from my chair and slid it back under the table. " Me and Kaliyah going to see Kentrell" I told him.
He looked at me and scrunched up his face, " So you not gon' spend time witcho favorite parent?"
"You tried it! Tia tell him I'm yo favorite"
I looked up and saw my mom entering the kitchen, followed by Kaliyah walking in behind her. It took her some time but now she was finally walking.
" Both yall my favorites. Now who taking me to the airport?" I asked looking at both them with my hand on my hip.
" Yo mama can take you since she yo favorite" My daddy stated turning his head away from me.
" How bout the both of us can take her" My mom added, looking through the fridge. I nodded my head in agreement.
" Sounds good but can one of yall put kaliyah in the bathtub? I'm suppose to be seeing my boyfriend before my flight" I explained. I wanted to make sure Devontae saw me before I left since I was gonna be gone for at least 1 week and a half .
