Life V.S. Death (Sequel to Heaven V.S. Hell)

Chapter 2

(Thor's POV)

"Do you know what a tesseract is?" Joseph asks. I cough.

"What?" I exclaim, astonished.

"Do you know what a tesseract is?" Joseph repeated. 

"Uh...yes we do.." Tony answers.

"Well what is it?" Joseph asks

"It's a cube of energy. It can kill and destroy and even open portals to other realms." Thor informs.

"Where is it?"

"It's in protection under S.H.I.E.L.D.," Natasha explains. 

"Why do you ask?" Clint questions. 

"Just wondering...." Joseph says bluntly. He turns to me again. "What is the the casket of ancient winters?"

"It's a basically a box of unlimited magic. Only frost giants can handle such powers, because if someone who was not a frost gian held onto it, it can injure them severely." I answer baffled.

"Where is it?"

"It's in Asgard."

"Oh..." Joseph says looking down.

"Why again, do you ask for these things?" Bruce says. Before Joseph could answer, a beam of light illuminated the kitchen. Holding Mjolnir in my hand, I reach for Joseph and shield him. After the light disappeared we looked up to find Father, Mother and Laufey standing. Father was smiling down at Joseph.

"Father?" I ask

"Hello Thor."

"What are you doing here?" Steve asks.

"We are here to help Joseph." Frigga answers. Laufey walks up to Joseph holding the Casket of Ancient Winters. Everyone gasps. The casket was letting out a soft blue light. He sets it on the table and steps back. 

"Is that..." Natasha asks in awe. 

"The casket of ancient winters." Clint finished. Joseph reached for the casket.

"No!" I bellowed. "Don't touch it. You will be injured." Joseph retracted his hand and looked down. The door bell rang. After a few minutes Nicholas and Morgan walks in with a briefcase. 

"Hello Joseph." Morgan greets. Joseph nods. Nicholas sets the briefcase down and opens it. Inside was the tesseract. He takes it out and sets it next to the casket. Then he steps back. 

"Thank you! All of you!" Joseph exclaims.

"Wait what?" Tony questions. 

"Why did you guys bring the tesseract and the casket?" Clint asks.

"So we can-" Nicholas says but he was cut off by an explosion. We were thrown back into the wall. I look up and find an man with white wings walks in. He looks around at stares at Joseph. Then he turns and grabs the tesseract. With the tesseract he turns around and begins to walk out.

"No!" Joseph screams. The man stops and turns his head to look at Joseph. "I need that!" 

"Sorry, Joseph. But I need it too." the man states.

"But I need it to help the ones I love! Shouldn't you be helping me?" Joseph screams. The man laughs darkly. 

"Nope." Joseph takes a rock that was near him and threw it at the angel. The angel caught it and crumbled it to dust. The angel held an expression of anger.

"I should've killed you when I had the chance!" The angel bellows stalking towards Joseph. Joseph stumbles back.

"You were the cloaked figure in my dream?"

"Yes."

"But aren't you supposed to be on the good side?"

"Some of us angels decide to rebel."

"You are a traitor!" Joseph accused. The angel lunged towards Joseph. With all my might I gripped Mjolnir and swung it, hitting the angel. The Angel flew back into the wall. Odin took his staff and blasted the angel, but the angel avoided. He turned around and took off. Natasha shot towards the angel blindly. 

"Stop Natasha!" Nicholas commands "He has the tesseract!" Natasha reluctantly pulled back. We all watched the angel fly away, tesseract in hand. 

"Does he have the casket?" Tony asks. 

"No" Laufey responds. "I have it." Joseph fell down to his knees and cried. I rub my hand on his back, comforting him.

"I failed!" Joseph exclaimed. Everyone gathered around him. Laufey kneeled down and set the casket beside him.

"No you didn't Joseph." Laufey said

"Yes I did! Without the tesseract I won't be able to bring them back!" Joseph said

"Bring who back?" Steve questioned. Joseph didn't answer. Instead he looked up at Laufey.

"What am I to do grandfather?" Joseph asks. 

"Grandfather?!" We all exclaim. Laufey sighs and embraces Joseph. 

"It's ok. We will find that angel and get back the tesseract. Okay?" Joseph nods and snuggles into Laufey's embrace. 

"But how grandfather?" Joseph mumbles. 

"I don't know, but we will find him don't you worry." Laufey assured.

"Wait grandfather?" Tony asks. 

"Yes. He is my grandson." Laufey said. 

"So if you are his grandfather, that would mean his dad is?" Bruce asks. Laufey rolled his eyes. I gasp at the recognition.

"His father is Loki." I say. Laufey nods.

"So that means his mom is Ira!" Natasha adds on. We all looked at him wide eyed.

"But how?" Clint asked "How did he get here?" 

"That I don't know." Laufey answers. Odin kneels behind Joseph.

"Joseph. What is your full name?" he asks.

"Joseph Baldr Lokison." Joseph sniffles pulling away from Laufey. 

"So that means I am your uncle?" I ask. Joseph nods. 

"How did you get here?" Frigga asks. 

"I traveled back in time." Joseph answers. Tony laughs.

"There is no way you can do that!" he says.

"I can. My parents are immortals. And I am immortal as well. I am a god!" Joseph exclaims. 

"God of what exactly?" I ask.

"God of time." Joseph answers.
