So, this week, it’s the last week of school. Then summer break. Hallelujah, I’ve been waiting for this. Plus, on Saturday, it’s Luke and Ashton’s birthday party. I was looking forward to it, and if you look forward to things, time flies by. Before I knew it, it was Saturday. I first took a hot bath and shaved my legs. Arianna was coming over at around 5PM. The party only started at 8PM but we needed to get ready.

“Heya girl!” She smiled when I opened the door. She was standing there with a lot of plastic bags filled with stuff. “Hi Ari. What’s all that?” “Stuff we need to get ready. I’m gonna give you a make-over and you’re gonna keep your mouth shut or otherwise, I put some duct tape on it.” Arianna grinned. “Owkay then.”

“I’m first gonna do your hair, I think. You’ve got some beautiful long hair, so I was thinking to braid it. Do you know Zoella? That British youtuber? She has amazing videos of how you can do your hair and stuff. That’s where I learnt it from.” “Just do it, I don’t care how.” “So enthusiastic.” Arianna said sarcastic. I do have to say, it looked really good. “Next, make-up!” “Urgh. I don’t want that.” I groaned. I really don’t like wearing make-up.

“Perfect!” she smiled when she was finished. “How about you? What are you gonna do with your hair?” “Don’t worry about that. I can do that by myself. I’m gonna braid it as well.” She answered. She did her hair and make-up and after that, we both took on our dress. “Girl, you look amazing!” Arianna smiled. “You too.” Now it was time to take on these heels again. I swear, I hate heels.

“Oh my goodness…” My mum, dad and Fynn were all staring at me. “What’s wrong? Why are you staring? Is there something wrong?” “You look so beautiful. Both of you.” My mum said, nearly with tears in her eyes. “Now everyone is gonna see my tattoo.” I suddenly said. I think no one except for Arianna knows that I have a tattoo. During school, I always try to cover up with wearing t-shirts or long sleeves. So, I have a tattoo on my right upper arm. It’s 3 birds that fly away with Devon’s name under it. I really wanted it so now he’s always with me. “So? It has a beautiful meaning. Everyone can see it.” My dad said. “Your dad is right, honey.” Mum said.

“Let’s go. It’s nearly 8PM. We should go now.” Ari said, and pulled me with her. “Have fun, you two!” My mum shouted after us. They didn’t say when I needed to be home. They just give me a lot of freedom. “We’re gonna have some fun tonight, baby!” Ari winked and started driving.

There were already a few people, not many. The party had only just started. “LUKE!” I shouted when I saw him, talking to Michael. The look on his face when he saw me. His mouth wide open. “Charlie.” He stuttered. That was the only thing that escaped from his mouth. “You… Wow. Just wow. You look amazing! ” Arianna started grinning next to me. I really wanted to punch her right now but I didn’t. “Happy birthday! I know it’s only in a few days but still.” I smiled. “Thank you!” “Now, where’s the other birthday boy?” Arianna asked. “Ow, erm… Ash. I think he’s outside at the pool.”

“I’ll leave you two alone.” Ari grinned, and walked outside. I heard her shouting Ashton’s name. “You really look amazing, Charlie. You’ve kinda overwhelmed me.” He smiled, and I started blushing. Eventually, more people started arriving so Luke had to go say hi. But I caught him a lot of time looking at me. I have to say, he was also looking amazing. And then with his piercing. He looks so damn sexy with that.

“Hi there.” Calum was suddenly standing next to me. “Here, got you a drink.” He said and gave it to me. “Thanks…” “I don’t know if you know it already, but Luke is totally into you. I have never seen him like that before. He’s in love with you, and very deep. I’m just saying it.” Calum winked. But then I got distracted because Lauren and her friends arrived. Shit, they were also here. “Ignore her.” Calum whispered in my ear. I guess he saw the look on my face. “Yeah, I’ll try to.”

The party started soon. Everyone was having fun, drinking a lot, dancing,… Arianna had dragged me to the dance floor. “I need the toilet. Any clue where it is?” I asked to Ari. “Nope, ask Luke. It’s his house.” He was standing at the bar, talking to people. “Luke, where’s the toilet?” “Ow, upstairs. Second door on your left side. Next to my room. You remember that, right?” He smiled. “Yeah. Thanks.” I smiled. Before I went downstairs again, I checked my make-up. Everything was still perfect. But I nearly got a heart attack when I opened the door of the bathroom. Lauren was standing there, with this evil look on her face. “We need to talk.”

She grabbed my arm and pushed me in Luke’s room. “Leave me alone, Lauren.” “You stole my boyfriend! You bitch! Thanks to you, I have lost Luke. You ruined everything.” She shouted. “I didn’t. It was his own decision to break up with you. Not mine.” “You’re lying! You are just a loser. You’re the reason why Luke and I broke up. Thanks to you, everything is ruined.” She shouted. I nearly started crying. I just didn’t know what to do anymore. “But don’t you think I will leave it like this. I’m gonna make your life the living hell. And I will get Luke back, no matter what. He’s mine. Understood?” she shouted. I didn’t say anything. I just ran away. Luke was talking to Michael and other people at the moment, Arianna was dancing with Calum and I was just standing there, not knowing what to do. I just wanted to cry. So I left. I ran away.

Once I was outside, I kicked off my heels and ran. I ran so hard, it was like the devil was chasing me. I was crying. Maybe she was right. Maybe I’m just ruining everything. But I kept on running. I ended up at the cemetery. Devon. Before his grave, I broke down in tears again. “Why you? Why you Devon? Why did they take you away. I need you. You were always there to defend me. You stood up for me. I need you. I FUCKING NEED YOU.” I cried, sitting on my knees. I was a complete mess. “It’s not fair!” I shouted, crying.
