Sabel woke up to the smell of bacon and it dragged him out of bed. He found Nicole wearing a large Crimson Rose sweatshirt with her band's logo of a dark rose with a ring of black thorns. To his delight she wasn't wearing any bottoms.
She gave him a smile, "Morning Tiger." He looked at the clock, it was two in the afternoon. He tended to sleep till four, workout, then open the bar. "Morning Bunny." He said, pouring himself a cup of coffee. He noticed an opened invitation of some sort on the counter, addressed to her. It was for America's Music Awards. Her band had been nominated for number one artist, and her latest album was up for album of the year. "You going to go?" He asked her before taking a drink of his coffee.
She shook her head, "Those kind of parties aren't my thing. Abel and his wife Mirium usually go and represent the band. I'm not a fan of wearing those designer dresses. Plus some of them I've seen are too risque for my taste on the red carpet." Abel, Sabel. Their names rhyme, she thought with a soft giggle to herself. "I think you would look beautiful." He told her. She smirked, "I know I would look beautiful, drop dead sexy even, but those kinds of things are boring to me."
He shook his head, "Come on Bunny, it'll be the last one you ever get nominated too." He had a point. She turned to face him, "Okay I'll go." She told him. "But you have to go as my date." She smirked as he raised an eyebrow. He sat down his cup of coffee, "Okay." Her jaw dropped, she hadn't been expecting him to agree. She had hoped he would not want to go, meaning she wouldn't have to go. On the plus side she'd get to see him in a tux.
He smirked and slid the invitation over, "Hurry and RSVP adding in a plus one." She took the food off the stove and grumbled as she picked up the invitation. Sabel smirked as he munched on a piece of bacon, watching her. She took out her phone and did what she needed to, to ensure they would be there. She sat down next to him as she ate breakfast.
"Any plans today?" She asked him. "I plan to go to the gym, then work the bar." He answered. She rolled her eyes, "That sounds so boring." He smirked, "Well this body that you keep staring at is only this sexy because I workout, I have to keep it up if I am to get you to put on the bow." She rolled her eyes as she shook her head. "I feel bad for your mother, how did she manage to give birth to a baby with such a big head?"
He smirked, "I wonder that sometimes, I have trouble keeping it in my pants sometimes." Her face heated a little, "So not the head I meant." He laughed as he put his plate and cup in the sink.
After changing he went downstairs to head to the gym but he froze at the grafiti on the outside of his bar's windows. He stepped out to be able to read it.
Close or else
He glared at it. He wasn't going to be scared by some threat written in paint. He looked around and noticed a car that was running. He had seen it around before, the car belonging to one of those flies with a camera. He went over to it and saw the window was rolled down. The flie in the car held out some photos. "I would've turned them in to the police, but I value my life." He said. Sabel went to take them but the flie moved them out of his reach. "I'll give them to you, if you give me the latest on your girlfriend." He said with a smirk. Sabel placed a hand on top of the car as he leaned in, a menacing glare on his face, "I thought you said you valued your life?" The guy paled and his smirk became a little shakey. "I have connections and I can have you arrested for with holding evidence for the vandalism investigation I have someone doing."
Sabel knew to play his cards carefully so it wouldn't bite Nicole in the ass. All she wants is a simple life now that she's retired and bastards like this weren't letting that happen. The man handed him the photos. Sabel stuck them in the pocket of his leather jacket, "Now get out of here before I have you arrested for loitering and stalking."
Sabel moved away from the car and the guy drove off as fast as possible. Sabel turned back to the bar and noticed Nicole standing in her bedroom window. She gave him a thankful smile. He gave her a smirk with a wink before he headed to the station to file a report.
Nicole could now leave in peace. She wanted to go ahead and get her Christmas shopping out of the way and she wanted to be able to do it without the paparazzi following her. Last thing she needed was them taking photos of her buying her gifts, talk about spoilers. She called a taxi before getting ready. She left Sabel a note on the fridge before leaving. She knew she didn't need to, but it was something she was used to doing with past Doms.
She left eagerly when the taxi arrived. She was thankful that the cabby wasn't very talkative. It allowed her time to brainstorm gift ideas. When on the road she had given her friends gag gifts since they never had room for anything they really wanted. This year she planned on getting them actual gifts. She was even thinking about getting a gift for herself, a new tattoo. She just hadn't figured out what she wanted.
She has two tattoos right now. She had a line of Japanese letters going down her right arm that spelled her name and she did have it verified that the spelling was correct. She also had the band's logo on her left hip. She wasn't into dreamcatchers or majorly girly things. She didn't mind a little pink but she much preferred purple.
She walked around the mall, picking out several things but there was a newly added person to her list that she couldn't figure out. The bar owning, Marine who made her wet and her wet dreams wetter. The Bishop family was rich, richer beyond belief so he could have whatever he wanted. Then again, he liked the simpler things life had to offer. The only thing he spent good money on was his clothes. Good looking jeans and leather jackets don't come cheap.
She gave up after a couple of hours. She was waiting for a taxi when her phone rang and a picture of Sabel shirtless popped up. "Where are you?" He asked as she stopped, seeing that a snow storm is about to hit. "At the mall. I'm on the East side, blue entrance." She told him stepping back into the lobby.
"I'm almost there. The snow storm is right on top of us and it's supposed to get bad. Stay inside until you see me pull up." He told her. After hanging up she waited for him to pull up. When he did she carefully made her way to the car but suddenly a car that had gotten stuck, tried backing out, spraying a slushie mix of ice and snow. Nicole was soaked and freezing. Sabel got out and wrapped his jacket around her and got her into his car, not caring about getting his seats wet. He made sure the vents were pointed at her before driving them back to the bar.
The snow was falling heavier and heavier with each passing second and the winds picked up. When they got inside Nicole went to go warm up with a shower while Sabel made sure everything was winter storm ready. Finally feeling thawed out Nicole dressed in a pair of purple pajama bottoms and a black tank top. When she stepped out of the bathroom she saw Sabel on the phone.
He gave her a concerned look before paying attention to whoever he was talking to. A couple minutes later he ended the call. "How do you feel?" He asked her. "Warm." She told him. She hung up the jacket he put around her and took her clothes to her room to toss into her hamper. She picked up the hamper and carried it to the laundry room to wash so the soaked clothes wouldn't mildew.
She heard his phone ring and he answered it with a sigh. She tuned out what he was saying since it wasn't her business. Instead she thought about how caring he was. The only ones who've ever looked after her that way was Bradley, Abel, and Xavier. She had Doms care about her, but it was mostly her safety, not making sure she didn't get sick. She smiled softly as she closed the lid of the washer and started it before going to the kitchen to feed her roaring stomach.
Sabel had his phone between his shoulder and ear as he placed a cup of hot chocolate on the counter. She smiled when she saw a lot of tiny marshmallows. She took a big drink and it warmed her even more. It was so good.
Sabel hung up and looked over at her. She had a hot chocolate mustache and he couldn't help but chuckle at her. "What?" She asked him confused. He didn't say anything as he tilted her head up and used his thumb to wipe it off. Who knew something so simple could be so erotic?
He held eye contact with her as he licked off the hot chocolate and she couldn't help but wonder how good that tongue feel. The moment was ruined by his phone ringing. He sighed and took it to his room. She wished he would take her to his room instead. Hell she'd like it if he took her right here. That bow was so damn tempting to put on, but she hasn't reached the point of begging. Yet.
