Chapter 12

Christmas came in a flash. Sabel had become so worried with the Lions threatening the bar that time and the incident slipped his mind. It was constantly at the front of Nicole's mind though. Two days ago she learned the results, and today, at dinner with his family he'll learn the results too.

She had decided to not keep him from his family and since he was so stubborn she decided to go with him. She stood in the mirror looking over the outfit he had picked out for her. Dark jeans, a red long sleeve, and black boots. Her eyes then went to the wrapped gift on the nightstand.

Her mind drifted back to the test. Not fond of peeing on a stick, she went to a doctor for a more accurate test. The results were in fact positive. She thought she was going to be mad, but instead, she was weirdly excited. It was in that moment that she realized she loved Sabel. She hadn't known him long, but with him everything feels right. That night she had gone to a custom T-shirt shop and had a special shirt made for him. With it being two days before Christmas they were swamped but the owner was a fan of her music and was excited about her pregnancy that they rushed the order. She had gone yesterday morning to pick it up, luckily Sabel was out with Fia, his very interesting grandmother.

She had hugged Nicole, welcoming her to the family. Everyone knew about the possibility of her pregnancy, since Sabel didn't keep secrets from them, which was something Nicole loved about him. He was loyal and protective over everyone he cares about. Including her.

"You ready?" Sabel asked her. He was in dark jeans, and a dark green button up with his sleeves pushed up. He wore his mother's hog tooth above his shirt, usually it was under. Nicole had asked about his hog tooth since he was also a sniper and he claimed he had put it up. He said him wearing his mother's made sure her bullet never made its way to her. She had taken enough bullets in her life time, and this was one way in making sure another never found her again.

"Yeah." She said grabbing his gift. Her stomach felt quesy. She didn't know if it was butterflies or if it was nausea from the pregnancy. She prayed that he wanted this, just as much as she did. She had spent all day on the phone with Bradley and the others trying to build up the courage to tell him. When she had first told them of the condom breaking and her panic, they wanted to kick Sabel's ass. Yesterday though they congratulated them. Nicole just hopes she doesn't blow this.

"You okay?" Sabel asked her, noticing she was very quiet. "I'm just nervous. I've never done the whole family dinner thing before. Especially on Christmas." It wasn't a lie, because she was in fact nervous, but she knew his siblings were there for her to talk with, but the ninethousand other members? Okay he didn't have ninethousand family members, but Sabel came from a very large, very close family. Sabel kissed the back of her free hand, "They'll love you." It sounded as if he was going to say more than that but he cut himself off.

She didn't ask about it because the mansion coming into view had her words being cut off. It was huge with many cars in the driveway. Kids were having a snow ball fight in the yard, dogs ran around barking. "Welcome to the mad house." He chuckled.

They got out and he wrapped an arm around her. Inside there was Christmas music playing, dancing, singing, and laughing. Fia was was wearing a red and green tutu, red and green stripped knee high socks, and an ugly Christmas sweater with a cat wearing a Santa hat, but on her it looked cute.

"Nikki! Glad you came." Fia said pulling her in for a hug. Sabel then hugged his grandmother. "Come on, your parents are already here." She exclaimed while skipping towards the back. She had to be close to her nineties but she didn't move like she was. Sabel helped Nicole take off her jacket. Once his jacket was hung up he lead Nicole through the house. A man who looked like an older version of Sabel was cuddled on the couch with two others, surrounded by all of Sabel's siblings. The woman got up.
