It was late by the time they got home, Sabel had other plans instead of sleeping. As soon as he locked the door of the bar, he pinned Nicole to it. His lips on hers. "I love you." He whispered against them huskily. "I love you too." She whispered back.
He picked her up, her legs going around his waist. He carried her up the stairs, his lips on hers. He had special plans for her tonight. When he laid her on the bed, his kisses slowed down. "Tonight, I'm going to show you what it's like to have it vanilla." Nicole looked into his eyes, seeing the love he felt.
She nodded, and that was all he needed. She knew the rules of vanilla, that there aren't any, but could she just let go of her control? She felt his lips on her neck, causing her to moan softly. For him, she would.
Sabel kissed and caressed her softly while removing hey clothes. When she began to do the same to him, at first she was hesitant, but his moans gave her confidence. Soon they lost themselves in the passion. Nicole's mind and body felt like they were on fire as they went so high. And it was all because of this man right here.
Both slick with sweat, they laid in each other's arms, caressing each other. Sabel could tell Nicole had been nervous throughout, but he was proud of her coming out of her comfort zone. He had known why she had never done vanilla, and in a weird way he was glad that he was the one who let her experience it first.
His eyes went to her stomach where their growing child was. Then his eyes went to the hand on his chest where the diamond ring sparkled. He was going to be a husband and a father. If you told him that after the war that he would meet the lead singer of the Crimson Rose and she would give him everything he never knew he wanted, he would probably hit you, but now he couldn't believe it was actually happening.
She looked at him and those violet eyes took his breath away. "Thank you Nicole." He told her. She gave him a smile, knowing what he meant. "No thank you Sabel. You gave me a place to call home for the first time in my life." He kissed her softly his tongue caressing her's. Their kiss was interrupted by the smoke alarm downstairs. Sabel was up with some sweats on a heart beat later.
Nicole quickly dressed before following him. He went to open the door that lead to the bar but smoke was coming out from under it. The bar was on fire. "Upstairs and down the fire escape." He ushered Nicole back up the stairs. Then they got to the fire escape they saw someone had tampered with it, disabling it. Suddenly he had an idea and he thanked Chloe for forcing him to help her practice some of her cheer leading routines.
"I'm going to jump to the gutter and climb down. While I do that, shove as much clothes as you can into the bag." He said while pointing to his USMC duffle bag. "Once it's full, toss it out the window. Once I'm on the ground I want you to sit on the edge of the window, and push yourself off. I promise, I will catch you." His voice was filled with order that she wasn't going to go against. She trusted he knew what he was doing so she began to follow his orders. The first thing she shoved into the bag was the shirt she got him for Christmas, the rest was just random clothes that she blindly put in the bag. Once filled she tossed it out the window, it landing with a soft thud in the snow of the alley. As a last minute thought she snatched her bag and shoved his shoes and her shoes in it. Once that was out the window she saw Sabel had made it safely to the ground. "I've got you Nicole." He told her as she nervously got in the window. Closing her eyes and taking a leap of faith, she pushed herself out of the window. Strong arms caught her, and she opened her eyes, seeing that he did in fact catch her. He didn't let her touch the ground in her bare feet so he carried her to his car and sat her in the back seat. He grabbed the bags and put them in the trunk as the fire trucks were arriving to put out the fire.
As their statements were being taken his parents pulled up, looks of worry on their faces. "It was those damn Lions." Sabel growled. He didn't care that they tried to burn down the bar. He cares about the fact that his pregnant fiance was inside and they tried trapping them inside. Danteous looked at the bar, "Let's get you both home."
Sabel was sitting at his parents' island with a cup of coffee. Nicole was upstairs in his old bedroom asleep. She had given him shit over the posters of bikini models on his walls, trying to cheer him up, but it didn't work. He felt a hand ruffle his hair. It was his mom. "Penny for your thoughts?" She asked him while getting herself a cup or tea. "They tried trapping us inside. Nicole could've gotten hurt. All because I didn't handle them sooner." He snapped while looking into his coffee. "From what I've heard, you did everything you could've. You went and filed reports with the police and were going to let them take care of it. From my understanding of what Francis told me, the Lions have men in WPD so an investigation was never done. They simply swept it under the rug." She explained. "What did you guys do?" He asked, referring to the hard times they had. They never had gone into detail, just told their kids they fault like hell to save each other.
She sat next to him. "Which time do you want to know about?" She said while looking at her cup. "There were multiple situations. Some I blame myself for, some your dads blame themselves for." "One that will help me most with my situation." He told her. She nodded, "When I was part of HPD I was chasing a copy cat killer and they had managed to get their hands on your dads. I was out for blood, but I debated on how I wanted to do it." She shared. "I knew your dads were being hurt and I wanted to hurt them back in the worse way possible. So I opted with going a very stupid idea that could've gotten us all killed. I didn't tell anyone where I was told to meet the psycho and I didn't wear a vest. I didn't care about my safety, I just cared about saving them. Love makes us three parts fool, one part brave. Be careful at how you approach this son, or you both could get seriously hurt and I don't mean physically."
She looked at him, caressing his cheek, "You're my baby boy, and Nicole is now my baby girl, carrying my grand baby. There is nothing your dads and I won't do to protect either of you." He knew she meant it, but he didn't want to bring the threat to anyone else. He would take Nicole to his cabin but after the situation with Alison and that rapist, he had it demolished. He didn't want a standing reminder of how the man tricked him into coming down to knock him out long enough to be tied up.
"I see those gears turning Sabel Roland Bishop, and don't you dare do something stupid." She snapped with a glare. He couldn't get anything past his mother. He sighed and took a big drink of his coffee. "I can't do anything stupid, if I don't even know what to do in the first place." He told her, setting his empty cup down. "You pick yourself back up." She told him. "This is just a small bump in the road, that you will get over."
He looked at her, "How?" She smiled, "Because you're a Bishop. We punch our demons in the throat and keep going." With that she went to bed, leaving him with his thoughts.
