Today Sabel's parents had left for the cruise the kids had gotten them for Christmas, leaving the house to Sabel and Nicole for next two weeks. This morning Sabel had dressed in a suit he borrowed from his dad to go meet with the insurance company. The entire building had burned down, and the team investigating it, actually has proof the Lions were involved. Now it was just a matter of arresting the ones responsible.
Sabel had realized he was going to have to buy a whole new wardrobe for the both of them since she had only managed to grab a couple days worth of clothes. They both had to go buy their clothes for Sabrina's New Year's Eve party at Satin anyways, so Sabel figured they could make a day of it. He also had many plans for the bar and their living area. He planned to make it about five bedrooms, four bedrooms, one playroom. He wanted to have more than the one she was carrying now and so he was making sure they had room to grow. Since it was going to be their forever home he was going to let her decorate the living area since he would be decorating the bar. He found it fair.
He got to the bar where a person from the insurance company was taking more pictures. He offered a smile, "So I found the reports where it was in fact caused purposefully by someone and we plan to pay the full amount you had signed for." He said. Sabel nodded and looked around at his home. He kicked a piece of debree and unearthing a Crimson Rose CD that had minimal burns on the edges of the case. He smiled when he had seen she had signed it.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is she like?" The man asked blushing. "Nicole?" Sabel asked him. He nodded, "I've always loved the Crimson Rose." Sabel smiled, "She's amazing. She isn't like many celebrities you read about. She's generous, loyal, and enjoys the simple things in life." "You sound like you know her very well." He said. Sabel nodded, "I should, she's my fiance." And the mother of our unborn child. The man gave his congratulations before they had gotten down to business.
They had gone back to the agency and Sabel very much wanted to take off this tie. It felt as if it was strangling him. He wondered how his father, Eliot, and Keith could wear suits all the time. He very much preferred his jeans and t-shirts. Not only that but the aggravation at filling out nine thousand forms, had him ready to burst in anger. It wasn't until he got home and saw Nicole singing as she cooked dinner, that he felt himself begin to calm down.
"You make my heart beat, to the point of breaking out of my chest." She sang as she moved her hips. "You make me feel as if I'm living for the very first time, yeah." She spun and smiled when she saw me, unfazed that he caught her dancing and singing. Sabel enjoyed watching her very much. "How'd it go?" She asked removing his tie.
He ran a hand through his hair, "Very frustrating but it had good results. They've approved Keith's company to do the rebuild so I'm going to leave it in my younger brother's very capable hands while I get with my vendors and discuss when they can send their next shipments." When the timer went off she went over to the stove and fixed him a plate of spaghetti. She then fixed one for herself before sitting next to him at the table.
He picked up her legs and put them in his lap as they ate, "So how was your day?" "Your sisters are very insane." She said and he chuckled. "What else is new?" "Today they dragged poor Alison to a lingerie store for something to wear on her honeymoon. Chloe and Sabrina were very out there with their discussion that I thought Alison was going to run away and hide in one of the dressing rooms." She told him. There was no imagining what his sisters said because with them, you never know.
"I also bought something for myself that I think you're really going to like." She teased with a smile. She thought since his parents were away they would get to really play now. He smirked, "Is that so?" She nodded, "I know so." "Do I get to see it tonight?" He asked her curiously. "Nope. You have an early morning tomorrow." She reminded him. That was right, he thought. He, Eliot, Micha, and Keith were all going to go get their tuxs for the wedding fitted tomorrow.
He groaned, definitely not a morning person. She smiled and kissed his cheek after they finished. "While I do the dishes, how about you go relax." He pulled her into his arms. "How about, instead of doing the dishes, you come join me in the bath. They'll be waiting for us in the morning." She nodded, liking his idea much better. They were half way up the stairs when the door opened and in walked Keith, tears streaming down his face, glasses missing, and his lip was busted.
Sabel saw red instantly and pulled his brother in for a hug. "What happened?" "James, hit me." Keith managed to get out through his tears. James was his highschool sweetheart that none of them liked or trusted. "H-He came home drunk. He wanted m-me to sleep with him, b-but I said no." Keith cried into his shoulder. "He then hit me, c-calling me whore. He hit me so hard my glasses fell off, and he stepped on them." Sabel wanted blood. James' blood. Sabel picked his younger brother up and carried him to the living room. Keith was light, but he wasn't a rail thin person. He worked out, but he only likes enough muscle to have defining lines on his body so it was easy to carry him.
He placed Keith on the couch and Nicole came in with the first aid kit. Sabel left the room to call the rest of his siblings. "I'm sorry if I interrupted your night Nikki." Keith whispered as she cleaned his lip. "You didn't interrupt anything Keith. You're family and it doesn't matter what time, day or night, you will always have us." She finished cleaning his lip and closed the kit. "Is this the first time he's hit you?" She asked him softly. He nodded, "Yeah, but he's always been violent." He wiped his eyes as new tears came to his eyes. "Anytime he yelled, he would throw things and threat me. This was the first time he actually hit me." "You need to file a report with the police." She told him. He looked down at his lap, "But I love him." "No you don't Keith." She said and he looked up at her shocked. "I've been in your place when I was in highschool. I thought I loved him, but it was the idea of being wanted that I loved. You don't love him, you love the fact that he has been with you for so long."
Sabel stayed outside of the room, staying silent as he listened to her talk to him. "You're scared of being without him, and that's okay, but you know you won't be alone. You have ninethousand family members here for you no matter what." He sniffled, "You're right."
"Have you eaten?" She asked him. He shook his head, "No." She smiled, "I made some spaghetti, would you like some?" "That sounds nice, thank you." He whispered shyly. She left the living room and spotted Sabel. "Thank you." He whispered to her. She smiled and gave him a quick kiss before continuing to the kitchen. Sabrina then barged into the house in her silk pajamas and her hair in curlers. She spotted Keith and she went over to him, hugging him tightly. Next came Micha wearing a wife beater and basketball shorts, no shoes. His hair was a mess from sleep but he had become wide awake at the mention of James hitting their baby brother. Next was Chloe, who had been in the middle of a fun time when he called. The bright hickey on her neck confirming it. Last was Eliot and Alison who had been on a date when he called. Nicole came in with Keith's plate and he began to eat while his siblings ranted.
Nicole stood back, watching as Keith basically cowered on the couch as he ate. His siblings anger towards James was clearly over whelming him. "Guys that's enough for one night." Nicole said interrupting them. "It's late and we all have plans tomorrow. Let's all just go to bed, and pick this up in the morning." Sabel noticed the grateful look Keith gave her and he nodded. "She's right. We can make our plans to kill the fucker in the morning."
Reluctantly they all agreed. Instead of going back to their homes, they all just went upstairs to their old rooms. Keith stopped at the bottom of the stairs where he hugged Nicole. "Thank you Nikki." He said before going up the stairs.
Sabel wrapped his arms around her waist, "So about this guy who abused you..." She waved a hand, "My brothers handled it very swiftly. After they gave me the ass chewing of a lifetime for not telling them immediately it happened." She looked back up the stairs, "Yelling at him like that will do more harm than good because he didn't do anything wrong. I get you're all angry at James, I am too, but right now Keith just needs support, not seething overprotective siblings." He nodded and kissed her cheek, wondering how did he get so lucky.
"So about that bath?" He asked. She rolled her eyes as she headed up the stairs, "It's late Tiger." He muttered something under his breath as he followed her up the stairs to go to bed.
