Six: Secrets

   That evening Peter had invited me to his house again after school, trying to make up for leaving in a rush the last time.

   "Hey, Mal is it ok if I call you Mal. Sorry for having to go in a hurry last time. It's just that I had a dentist appointment and had forgotten to cancel it. You know no show fines and stuff, but hopefully today we can actually have fun."

   "Actually no one's ever given me a nickname before, I like it. And don't worry about last time, I understand. Can't wait." I told him heading my way home. As I was walking, piles of questions kept tugging at my head. Why was Peter lying to me? He said that Ned needed him last time. Now he said that he had a dentist appointment. What did he really have that made him leave me alone in his house? Was I really that bad of a company? No, then why did he invite me today? Out of pity? Either way, I planned on finding answers today.

   I walked into my surprisingly filled house. Usually, it was empty, but today everyone was here.  Two sides of the living space were throwing words at each other."Hey Dad, guys, what's going on?"

   "Just discussing the new Sokovia Accords the UN wanted us to agree to. And certain people can't see that basically, half the world is wanting us to agree to, meaning we disagree and it's war with 3.8 billion people, " Tony told her, eyeing the group in front of him. Even if he had said it was a discussion, it looked more like a huge argument.

   "Well, I'd rather fight for our freedom than give away our right to fight in total," Steve snapped back. "If you're gonna act this way then we'll just leave. He and the left side of the room walked out of the tower in protest.

   "Um, ok then. Can I go to a friends house?" I asked them, hoping they were too busy arguing to ask who's.

   "Yeah sure, just be back by 11 and if come back earlier just know that I have some recruiting business to do," he replied.

   I grabbed my little side purse that consisted of phone and a small amount of money and left him and what was left of the Avengers. I hope they work out whatever was going on between them. It wasn't my place to say anything, but a broken team is a dead team.

   Peter's home always had a welcoming atmosphere. I had stopped at the market on the way here to get some berries for the Parkers and my Dad who's obsession had passed on to me too. I was standing in front of the door ready to knock when Peter had walked up to me from behind.

   "Mal, sorry I'm a little late. Got distracted by a comic in the library. Here I'll let you in. Hope you weren't waiting for long. Anyway did you see that cool car outside?"

    "Nope, not at all Pete." I looked behind me in the direction Peter had pointed to seconds before to see a white sports car. It was oddly familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on where I had seen it before. "Wow pretty cool, haven't seen many of those around here," I replied walking to his home.

   "Pete?" he asked.

   "Only fair you get a nickname when you call me Mal," I told him. He opened the door and we headed to his room when his Aunt had called him from the living room.

   "Peter, you have someone here for you," she called.

   "You can wait in my room Mal, I'll be there in a sec," he walked towards the other room while I headed towards his room.

   I waited patiently in his oddly neat room. His room was cleaner than mine. My room looked like a hurricane had passed through with a tornado following. I looked at his old gadgets and devices on his desk when I heard him coming with another voice one belonging to an older man. Strangely the voice was familiar.

   "I can't believe you're actually here. You're my inspiration." I heard Peter say. He opened the door and I couldn't believe my eyes on who was with him.

(A/N): Ahh can you guess who was with Peter? Who was so surprising that Malia basically popped her eyes out? Anywho...MY BABIES ARE ON NICKNAME BASIS. I'm internally fangirling right now. On the other hand, did you guys see Tom's Instagram post today? First day on the script and he already leaked the title. But we all still love him for it anyway. I can't wait for the next movie! My answer: Me Before You, Wonder, & The Boy in Striped Pajamas. They are just such beautiful movies and I totally recommend you to watch them.
