Tiger Lily POV:
I squinted my eyes as sunlight came in through the porthole, making his shaggy hair shine brightly. I dragged the blankets up and over my shoulders and huddled up next to him to wake him up.
"Morning sleepyhead," He yawned as he opened his eyes. I really had never loved him as much as I did now, spending the night together last night was really just the icing on the cake.
"Morning." I grinned widely. "What's the plan for today?"
"Oh jeez." He shifted the blankets off quickly and rose to his feet, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling. We had been using one of the boats stolen from the pirate dock as a getaway for us for our freetime. His eyes widened quickly as he shook off his dazed glare, "Peter needed me for new recruitment training! I've overslept!"
"Come on, Michael!" I hummed, "No need to rush, its just a bunch of little kids being trained as soldiers..."
"Tiger Lily, don't be like that." He pulled his shirt over his head as he sighed. "They're orphans and uncared for children, all we're teaching them is how to hunt and fish and defend themselves against pirates. Nothing serious."
"I suppose," I rolled my eyes sarcastically. "Gosh, you're just like your sister, all virtuous and pure!"
"Yeah sure," He laughed and bent down to kiss me. "If I was anything like her, I wouldn't have fallen in love with you."
A smirk crossed my lips, "Be careful okay? Peter's been getting all weird as of late, I think you're sister's been driving him lovesick so he might be a little bonkers in the head."
"Will do," Michael walked across the plank onto the shore. "Also, meet me at the tavern later at sunset. I have an in with a pirate that owed me a favor."
"See you later Michael!" I watched him walk back into the jungles, so handsome and dashing. He was eighteen, the same age as I was. How uncanny it was that he and his sister arrived here, both finding true happiness in the ones they loved. It was limited however, due to one crucial mistake I had made.
Later that evening, I met up with him as expected and we had gotten extremely drunk during the evening. As we downed what seemed like gallons of rum, we discussed the injustices of Pan's government, which in retrospect was much less evil than we made him out to be.
"I say-" I hiccuped, "We take all the lost boys and leave your sister to kanoodle with Peter, so they can get over themselves!"
"Sure...as if she would!" Michael joked. "But what if? I mean, Peter has been too harsh and he really shouldn't treat me like such a working dog! I'm entitled to more, aren't I?"
"Definitely! Your gorgeous--eyes--hair--." I struggled to speak. "You should be the leader I think!"
"Yeah," His expression suddenly turned serious as he stared into the bottom of his empty glass, "I'm gonna stage a r-revolution, take my sister home and stuff, and take you with me leaving that crook on the island alone!"
I sobered for a minute at the idea of leaving the island by my own accord, "You mean it?"
"Yup!" Michael laughed. "You, me, and Nicole against the world!"
The evening went on and on, leading to Michael trying to chase me through the jungle in a drunken flirt.
"Tiger Lily!" He laughed as I stumbled. I ran far up ahead until I reached Pan's tent. I don't know what I was thinking, but I wandered in the dark and embraced Peter as he slept, thinking it was Michael somehow.
