"Rabbit squad!" I called out to the forest. I'd been walking for about an hour now and couldn't see them anywhere. "I know you guys are out here! Please just tell me where you are!" No answer.
I stopped walking and looked around me. The trees towered overhead and reflected shadows onto the ground as warnings for the impending darkness of night. My toes were tangled in between the moss of the earth, I had forgotten to slip my boots back on again. The sky began to purple above me while the moon looked down upon the island with a dimly glowing luster. The scent of the air was fresh, a clean scent of wildflowers and salt water hung in the air in a perfume-like daze against the bold scent of the undergrowth.
"Lost boys!" It was really getting dark now which frightened me more than ever. I didn't want to believe it, but I was scared of the dark, I was scared that my brother would not emerge out of the shadows and save me. I was scared that I was lost.
I began to run faster and faster till I tripped on a tree root and skinned my knee. I sobbed as I tenderly touched the small cuts on my skin, waiting for Peter to come and heal me. I suppose this was a nasty habit of mine: thinking there will always be Peter there by my side.
I paused my sobbing and looked up as I thought I'd seen lights up ahead. I thought it was just my imagination but I soon saw lanterns passing by the black shades of the trees. "HEY!" I yelled to whomever was coming. Perhaps they'd hear me and bring me back to camp. "PLEASE CAN YOU BRING ME BACK TO CAMP?" The lanterns paused their moving, they'd heard me. They started walking this way and I began to hear speech as well, but not the kind I wanted to hear.
"Did yeh hear that?" An older pirate with a peg leg chuckled as he turned to the other. "I think we missed one of em." I saw the pirates hobble closer with a few of the younger lost boys draped over their shoulders. As they approached I crept into a nearby thicket to hide.
"Should we go back for the boy?" The other pirate began. "This one's already so heavy, I don't want to carry another..."
"Leave em, a little one won't do much harm."
"But what about Pan?"
"To heck with Pan, we've got his boys with our sleeping gas, what's he gonna do?"
"I dunno, he's always had a few tricks up his sleeve."
"Let's just get going you superstitious scallywag." The light they brought with them began to fade just as their voices did when they moved farther away. I couldn't believe what I'd just heard! They'd used sleeping gas on the lost boys? I needed to find out more, I needed to know what was happening. I began to run even faster, creeping stealthily behind the pirates who'd kidnapped my loyal subjects.

Lacie POV (I know this is supposed to be in your perspective, but I couldn't resist 😊)
He wasn't getting much better at this rate. I sat in the tent quietly watching the boy that Y/N gave me responsibility over. His fever, still raging hot, had since gone up from when I'd given him his last dosage. Oh god, was I killing him? Did I mix it wrong?!? I ran to the potions cabinet frantically fearing the worst and mixed another dosage. I couldn't let a poor soul die, not on my watch! Carefully I poured out the rations, taking care to not mix in too much expired elixir. As I mixed it, I noticed something...The elixir was made of blood.
I jumped back in horror at this realization. "Was I-could I have read it wrong? No. I couldn't have mixed such a fowl..."
I nearly vomited. This was so gross. Carefully I picked up the glass bottle again and swished around the contents. It didn't look like blood from inside the bottle, but it looked and smelt of it once it was outside the flask. Strangely enough, when it was in the bottle, it held tiny gold flakes within it that disappeared once I disturbed the mixture by pouring it into a different container. Could I be contaminating it by transferring the contents? Could this be why it wasn't working?
