Emma's P.O.V

It has been a week. Alone. And tired. Three days after the fire, some wolves started searching the area. Looking for me to finish the job no doubt. I had found out that it was a group of rogues that had set my home on fire. I doubted they were smart enough to actually come after me. They couldnt have known I was gone. 'There is always the chance that they did.' Lilly said sarcastically. 'Do you ever shut up and help?' I replied. I was tired of her just saying stuff to get on my nerves. She didn't help at all. 'That's not true. Without me you would be caught by now.' She said smugly. I rolled my eyes and continued to run. That seems to be all I do know. Argue with my wolf and run. Day in, and day out. Not room for much else. "Ma'am. Slow down!" Someone yelled. Shit. They saw me. I ran even harder to lose them. They seemed to keep up easily though. Like they were trained. Not good. Smack. I landed on my ass. I ran right into a tree while I wasn't looking. Before I could get up I blacked out.
Sometime later
"Ugnnn. My head. What happened?" I groaned. I looked up to see that I was in a cell. Great. First they burn my home, kill my family, and chase me for a week, now they want to torture me? This just gets better and better. 'Look at the door you idiot. It's open. Lets go.' Lilly exclaimed. I got up and left quietly. I didn't want to get caught. This place was confusing me. Why is this place so big? I mean really. What is the point. The rogues can't be this big. If they were, then they would have caught me sooner. I stopped as I heard some voices around the corner. "and she was fast. Way faster than us. Jacob was the only one fast enough to catch her. Even he had a hard time. The only reason we..." I didn't hear the rest of it. I had ran away, as they had almost caught me. 'We need to keep going. We can't stop for anything' Lilly said. 'Fine. Let's go. Where is the door in this place?' I grumbled. There! I could smell the fresh air from outside. Home free. Let's go. I ran to the door and slowly opened it to make sure that there was no guards. The way was clear. I made my way across the grass, and into the trees. I shifted and ran as fast as I could. After a few minutes, I slowed down, and walked, still wary, keeping my guard up and my senses alert.  I was out of the house but I wasn't out of the woods yet. No pun intended. I was running for my life and they weren't going to catch me. I was sure of that. I was faster than them. I knew that because the guy had said so. I already knew the reason why I had been caught. I wasn't paying attention and ran into a tree. I won't make that mistake again. 'Sure you will. you almost did right there. I stopped it this time because I was paying attention and had control while you were lost in thought.' Lilly said smugly. 'Shut up. Your getting on my nerves. And yeah, thanks for saving us another splitting head ache.' I retorted. She just snorted and went silent. So I concentrated on my running. I was so close.

Tavian's P.O.V

"She is what!" I yelled. "Gone sir. She escaped while I was looking for you. She had woke up. I came to get you." He said in a small voice. I groaned. For a week they had been chasing her. She kept getting away only because she was faster then them. For a week she had out ran them. With ease too. She was toying with them obviously. From what Caleb told me, they got her only because she wasn't paying attention and ran into a tree. I have to admit. If you are running fast enough to knock yourself out on a tree, you can run really fast. "Well find her god damn it. I need her back!" I yelled. He ran off to do as he was told. 'Like a good little soldier.' Nolan chuckled. 'Not really. He is just scared of me. I've been in a shitty mood all week. When they finally catch her, by the time they get me she has escaped. I am having a great time right now. So shut up ok?' I got angrier near the end. He just chuckled before retreating to the back of my mind. He always did that when he knew he was right. It annoyed the crap out of me. He knew it too. That's why he did it. "Sir. It would appear that she left the pack territory and is now in the Silver Blood pack territory." He said. My eye started to twitch. He backed away from me. Whenever my eye started to twitch people immediately leave the room. Those that don't usually get a free trip to the pack doctor. I punched the wall in frustration. Why did she have to leave? It was killing me. Literally. There was a knock on the door. "What do you want!" I snarled. "It's me. I'm sorry, I will come back another time." A small girls voice said. I groaned. Now was not the time for old 'partners' to return into my life. I was done with that. Ever since my parents told me I need to find my mate. I haven't slept with a girl since then. I was going to give myself over to my mate entirely. I have heard of other alphas who did what I did and tried to hide it from thier mates. In the end they found out and they went through a very rough time. If I find her... No, when I find her, I will tell her everything. I will tell her about my past, and what I did, and I will devote my life to making her happy. I know it sounds weird, but she is all I have. I can feel it. "Do you want me to come back?" She asked again. "No! I don't want anything to do with you anymore. I have found my mate. I think. Go away Jessica." I yell at the door. I hear a gasp and she walks away. Finally. Some time to think by myself. I wonder if she ever found her mate. Or if she will. It's not my concern anymore. My only concern is my mate. Where ever she is.

Emma's P.O.V

I was getting tired. I had escaped the rogues only to enter a territory that was even worse. I had turned around but there was a person there already. So I ran. I had escaped and decided that it was safer with the rogues. So I looped around and made my way back to the territory of the rogues. I was just getting there now. There was a couple wolves out searching. Probably for me. One of them looked of and looked relieved. "Thank god we found you luna. Alpha would have killed us if we didn't." He said. "Luna? What do you mean? I'm no luna. Luna is the title in a pa... oh. So you guys aren't rogues?" I said embarrassed. "Rogues? No. What made you think that we were rogues?" the one asked. "Well my home was burned by some rogues. My best friend had just found his mate, who happened to be running from the rogues. They were in the house when it was burned." I said quietly. "I am sorry for your loss, luna." he said bowing his head. "Why do you keep calling me luna? I am not your luna. I haven't even found my mate yet." I said getting a little angry. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to anger you, but you have found your mate. You just didn't get a chance to meet him." he replied. 'Mate? If he thinks that we are his mate, then he is wrong. We would smell him.' Lilly snarled quietly in my head. 'I know that. He doesn't think that though. I don't know how, but I can tell that he is telling the truth.' I replied to her. "Please come with us. We will take you to him. We ask that you please don't argue, as he has been in a very bad mood. He has known your scent for over a week and has no idea as to who you are. Before you ask, he found some of your clothes in the fire. They survived, and that was how he knew it was you." the other one said. I looked at him in disbelief. We hadn't even met and he was going crazy without me. I really should get back then. I nodded and followed the two back to the pack house. We entered and I was immediately hit with it. The scent of pine and oak filled me. I was engulfed by it. I felt a pair of big strong arms wrap around me. Oddly, I just leaned into them, and enjoyed the feel of them. Normally I would jump and attack anybody that did that, but I felt safe here. 'Mate. It's our mate. Look at him. Please.' Lilly begged me. I gave in and did as I was told. I looked up into the most heartwarming eyes. They were a light blue that I couldnt tear away from no matter how hard I tried. "If you two are done staring into each others souls, can you close the door?" I heard a voice say dripping with sarcasm. My mate stiffened and turned. He started to growl. "Don't you dare talk to me or my mate like that, slut. I may have put up with you at one point, but I will not tolerate you talking like that to me and my mate. Now you will leave this matter alone and never attempt anything with me again, or you can try it again, and become a rogue, at which point I will hunt you down and kill you myself. Got it?" He snarled at her. "Sure thing, alpha." She said smirking. "You have ten seconds. I suggest you start running." He snapped. "No." I said to him. "What? She just..." He started. "I said no. I understand that she insulted me. I would kill her too, but I don't know her yet. I feel like we could be good friends, if she lost the smirk and cleaned up her act. Besides, I can tell that you two use to be a thing, and I want to be able to hold you accountable if you don't tell me everything, as I know that she will." I say calmly. "Are you sure? I can kill her right now if you want." He said. I shook my head. "No. You aren't going to kill her right now. Give me the chance to hate her first." I say putting my hand on his arm. He melted at my touch, and just nodded. Everyone looked at me surprised. I guess that nobody has ever made him give in before. "Well then. First of all, who the fuck are you? And what is your problem with me?"
