Chapter 5

Tavian's P.O.V
I looked down at her. She must really be hurting inside to let me in so soon. I felt a movement and saw she had closed her eyes and was leaning up for a kiss. I leaned down to give her what she wanted, but before we got the chance the moment was ruined. "Alpha. We are under attack. The Silver Blood pack is here." Caleb said to me out of breath. My eye started to twitch and I tensed up. Caleb was backing up, and had a look of fear in his eyes. I felt a small hand on my cheek, and I calmed down. "Where are they?" I asked him calmly. "They are outside and they have your sister as a hostage." he said quietly. My eye started to twitch again. "My sister? They chose the wrong person to take as a hostage. I am going to kill them all." I said coldly. I could feel my blood boiling and my eyes changing color. I set Emma down and kissed the top of her head. "I will be right back." I said to her. "No. I am coming with you." she said. I would have argued but her eyes were pure black. She was already walking to the door. I followed her and my eyes quickly became black like hers. As we got to the door she kicked it down. "Who the fuck dares to come here and attack my pack, and take my mates little sister!" she bellowed. Her voice was so loud and so angry that even those from the other pack cowered. Even the Alpha was scared of her. She saw him with a silver knife on my sisters throat. She started to walk over to him when his other pack members stepped in the way. "Move! Now! Or I will make you move!" she snarled at them. They were so scared that a few of them actually shit themselves. They moved out of the way and she continued to storm over to Alpha Haggard. "Stop. One more step and the girl is dead." he said in his most confident voice. It didn't work as she just kept walking up to him. "I said stop! That's far enough!" he said louder. "Silence! You insolent piece of shit! You are weak. You disgust me. You and I both know that you won't kill her. If you did that, you would have no protection. You are a coward. I have no pity for you. Now let her go, and leave this place, and never return. If you don't, I will kill you, and it seems as though none of your pack members would stop me. They have already laid down thier weapons. They can see who the winner is here. You have lost. Now go, before I change my mind. I have no problem killing you. I already killed one of my own pack members today. She was hated by everyone. She rejected her mate and when he died, she showed no emotion. She was a simple thing. Yet I can see that it will be easier to kill you. She put up a fight. I will kill you, but I am giving you one chance, like I gave her. Don't blow it." she growled at him. She was completely void of any emotions except anger right now. Haggard seemed to realize this and dropped the knife. He turned to leave and called to his pack members. "Those who go with him, be warned. If you follow him, and come back, I will not hesitate to kill you as well." she said. Then she picked up my sister and walked back to me. Haggard stood there in disbelief as everyone of his pack members except his mate left him. They all filtered into the house. Before Haggard left with his mate Emma came back out. "Just so you know, I realize that you are his mate. I know that you are stuck with him. So if he decides to attack again, don't worry. I won't kill you unless you attack as well." she said looking at Haggard's mate with pity. She just nodded and left with Haggard. I turned back to Emma who was back to normal by now. I called the pack doctor over to take my sister. She had passed out from the trauma. As I passed him my sister, Emma collapsed. I caught her and picked her up. "Move please." I said worried. At first people were unwilling to move but when they saw who I was carrying they moved right away. It took a few minutes but I made it through the crowd and to my room. Please be alright. I just found  you. I can't lose you yet. I was in tears as I set her down.

Emma's P.O.V
I woke up in a soft bed with a massive headache. I sat up and looked around. I felt someone move beside me and I saw Tavian sit up as well. "You're ok. Thank god." he said hugging me. I smiled. I opened my mouth to speak but my throat was dry. I tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to my throat. He nodded and got up. A minute later he came back with a glass of water. I drank it and felt it trickle down my throat. When I was done I looked at him. "What happened?" I asked him. The last thing I remembered was being in his arms about to kiss him when we were told about the attack. After that everything was a red haze. He seemed to realize that I blacked out and had no idea what I did. "Well, we were told by Caleb that the Silver Blood pack was attacking us. They had my little sister as a hostage. You came with me and kicked the door down. You yelled at them and went right up to the Alpha. You shamed him and made him release my sister. You told him about how you killed one of your own pack members that day, and said that he would be a piece of cake. You made him leave, and all his pack members left him and joined us. Oh yeah. You also scared some of them so bad they shit themselves." he said with a hint of awe in his voice. "So to sum it up, I scared the shit out of some people and saved the day. Am I right?" I asked him. He just nodded. "How long have I been out?" I asked him. I had just realized how hungry I was. "Three days." he replied. I just nodded. "Can we get something to eat?" I asked him weakly. He nodded and picked me up. I would have argued but I was too tired and weak. We went to the kitchen and he set me down on a chair at the table. He walked over to the cupboards and grabbed some ingredients. After about ten minutes he came back over with something that smelled really good. I took a bite and was amazed at how good it tasted. I wolfed it down and leaned back satisfied. "That was amazing." I said smiling. He chuckled. He was about to say something when I heard someone walk in. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt..." Tavian held up his hand to stop the guy. "It's ok. Jordan, this is Emma. My mate and our Luna." he said gesturing to me. I blushed and glared at him. "Hello Luna, wait. You're the one that scared the crap out of Alpha Haggards people. Right?" He said. I nodded. I turned to see him and saw him bowing. "Oh. Please. There is no need for that." I said chuckling. When he stood up I was greeted by a face I thought I would never see again. "Jordan!" I exclaimed standing up and hugging him. I heard Tavian growl and I whipped around. "Tavian. Behave. I am fine ok?" I said to him glaring. He just lowered his head in shame. I turned back to Jordan to see him smiling. "I thought you were dead. What happened?" I asked him. "Well after you left, we started to prepare for your party. After a few minutes there was a knock at the door. I answered it and was hit on the head by a rogue. I woke up outside of the house. I saw you running away. I couldn't move though. After a few minutes the others came back and found me. We split up into pairs. Each of us with our mates. We each took a few packs to scout through. See if we could find you and bring you home. But it would seem as though, we can't bring you home." he explained to me. I just nodded. "So Liam is alive?" I asked hopefully. "I don't know. We couldn't find him." he said looking away. My face just dropped. I turned away and sat back down. "Look I'm" I cut him off. "No. I don't care. Just leave. I need to be alone." I said not looking at him. I heard him leave. I layed my head down and cried. I felt Tavian sit next to me and comfort me. I was devastated. I drifted through the days without a thought or care. Life was irrelevant. Besides Tavian, there was nothing left for me. I stayed strong for him, but I guess the mind and body can only take so much. After a week, I blew up on Tavian. "I don't care! Can't you see that I just want to die! I lost everything! My home, my family, my friends! Soon I'm going to lose you as well!" I screamed at him. He looked hurt. "Why would you say that? You have me, and Jordan, and Tiffany. (Tiffany is Tavian's little sister) You have the whole pack. Why would you want to die?" he said the pain clear in his voice. I just shook my head and cried. "It's ok. I understand. You miss your brother. I would too. Just please don't say that again. You are my mate, and the Luna of this pack. You are meant to be here. Ok?" he said to me quietly. I just nodded. "Tavian. I just remembered. After last weeks events, we never got to marking each other." He smirked at me. "Do you want to change that?" he asked me with a big grin on his face. I bit my lip and looked at him. He growled in arousal. I leaned in towards him for a kiss, but as he got close I pulled away from him and just let him fall. He looked up at me as I walked away, swaying my hips. "You are such a tease." he groaned. "Yes, but I'm your tease." I said sweetly before leaving the room
