Chapter 6

Tavian's P.O.V
It had been a week since she found out. She was still staying strong, and being herself around others, but everyone noticed that she was talking less and less each day. Finally she blew up on me. "I don't care! Can't you see I just want to die! I lost everything! My home, my family, my friends! Soon I'm going to lose you as well!" she screamed. I was shocked. How could she say that. Nolan cringed back in pain. He howled at her, begging her to take it back. "Why would you say that? You have me, and Jordan, and Tiffany. You have the whole pack. Why would you want to die?" I said. As hard as I tried the pain was clear in my voice. She just shook her head and started crying. I walked over and put my hand on her shoulder. I tried to comfort her. "It's ok. I understand. You miss your brother. I would too. Just please don't say that again. You are my mate, and the Luna of this pack. You are meant to be here. Ok?" I said quietly in her ear. She just nodded. I was relieved that she was ok. I had heard about this happening before. And soon after, the Luna usually left. "Tavian. I just remembered. After last weeks events, we never got around to marking each other" she said suddenly, snapping me from my thoughts. I smirked at her. "Do you want to change that?" I asked her. I couldn't help but get a big stupid grin on my face. She just bit her lip in response. I couldn't help but growl in arousal. She leaned in for a kiss, and I closed my eyes as I leaned forward. Bad idea. Before I knew it, I was on the floor. I looked up at her, and she was walking away, swaying her hips. "You are such a tease." I groaned. "Yes, but I'm your tease." she said sweetly before leaving the room. I sighed as she left the room. 'I don't think I can handle much more of this.' Nolan said. He was getting tired of it all. 'I agree buddy. But you've seen what she can do. Do you really want to piss her off?' I asked him. 'No.' he sighed. I chuckled. I had to say, she was getting a bit too daring. I stood up and straightened my shirt. I would deal with that later. For now, I need to deal with finding her brother. All week, I had a small group of people, usually with thier mates, going to try find him. I didn't tell her, mainly because she would tell me to give up. Although, the longer we looked, the more it seemed like she would be right. I shook my head and went to my office. Before I entered, I heard a bunch of papers being moved. "Hurry! He could come back at any minute!" someone hissed. "I know! I'm looking, but he is really messy!" a female voice hissed back. "We need to leave now! He will kill us if we get caught!" the first person said. He sounded worried. "I know! Haggard will kill us too, if we don't come back with the information about what they know. If they have found out we have the Luna's brother, and we don't find that information, we are dead. So help me look!" the women hissed again. They had her brother. They broke into my home. Haggard was going to pay. First, his spies needed to be dealt with. 'Nolan. You've been itching for some fun. Have at them.' I said smirking. Without a word, he took over and kicked in the door. "Hello. Looking for something?" he snarled. The two jumped at me in an attempt to take me out, but were both smaller than me. They were also more trained in stealth, not combat. I easily pinned them both. 'Aww. That was no fun. It was too easy.' he said sarcasticly to me. He gave me back control, and I mind-linked some of the others to come to my office. When they arrived, they looked at me confused. "These two, were snooping through my desk and papers. They are spies for Haggard. They have Emma's little brother. I want to talk to them. Take them to the cells." I said to the others. Jacob and his mate Kelsey picked up the spies. They had been together less then a week, and they already got along very well. Kelsey had been a part of Haggard's old group, and was not to keen about joining our pack. That was until she realized Jacob was her mate. Then she was willing to stay, for him. She knew he loved it here, and she wasn't going to make him become a rogue, just for her. After she got over the fact that it was a little crowded, what do you expect when the second largest pack there is gets put with the largest one, she was actually quite happy. After they left I sat down. What a day. Now, to do some paperwork. As I grabbed a stack that the two had moved there was a knock on the door.

Emma's P.O.V
I knocked on the door, and waited. I heard him sigh, and get up. A few seconds later he opened the door. "What do you want now... oh. Emma, I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was you. Please come in. I have something I need to tell you." He smiled grimly. What ever it was, wasn't good. I entered the office and sat on a couch. He sat beside me and leaned on me. He put his arm around my shoulders and kissed my temple. Oh no. He is going to reject me. I knew it. I thought to myself. "Emma. Listen, I..." I stopped him. "Please. Tavian, if you're rejecting me, make it quick." I said quietly. "What. No. Emma, I am not rejecting you. I was going to say that, for the past week, I have had a small group of people searching for your brother. We didn't find him." he said looking at me. he seemed happy though, and angry. "What we did find, or rather found us, was a couple of Haggard's spies. They were digging through my stuff, trying to find what we had on your brother. I over heard them talking, and they have your brother." he said. His eyes went dark at the mention of Haggard. "What?" I said stunned. I thought he was dead. Now I know he is alive, and I'm going to kill Haggard. "Where are the spies?" I growled. He kind of shrunk back, but realized I was mad at Haggard and the spies, not him. He hugged me close and I relaxed. "They are in the cells, but I just finished catching them, so can you leave it be until tomorrow?" he asked me while kissing my neck. I bit my lip to stop a moan from escaping, and I nodded. He picked me up and carried me to our room. He layed me down and continued to kiss my neck up and down. I squirmed in his hold as he trailed to the sweet spot on my neck. He started to suck on it, and I couldn't help but moan in pleasure. It just felt so good. After a minute he stopped, and I felt his canines extend and graze my neck. He looked at me for permission and I nodded. I felt his teeth sink into my neck, and it hurt at first, but quickly turned into an intense pleasure. After a few seconds, he released his bite, and licked the spot. Once he was done, I did the same to him. I looked at his neck and smiled at my handy work. There was a picture of small wolf howling at the moon, with my name underneath the wolf. I knew that it was the same on my neck, but a bigger wolf, and his name underneath. We had finally marked each other. It felt great. I felt stronger, and I could feel a presence in my head that wasn't there before. I realized that Tavian was looking at my thoughts. I inhaled his scent and was at peace. He is so sexy. I can't believe I held out on him. "Niether can I. And is that all I am?" he asked smirking. I just grinned and put up my wall. He frowned at me, but I knew he loved it when I teased him. "We need to get back to work. I want to ask the spies a few questions." I said getting serious. He groaned. I got up from the bed and opened the door. "You coming?" He rolled his eyes and got up. We walked to the basement where the cells were. I walked over to the only cell that had anyone in it. "That one. Bring her out. We need to talk." I said to Caleb. He smiled and opened the door. He went in and grabbed her. Before he could leave though, the man attacked him. I reacted quickly and without thinking. "Freeze! Step away from him." I growled. He listened to me without hesitation. Once Caleb was out, I closed the door and locked it. We went to a different room and Caleb locked me in there with the girl. "How? You're not our Alpha, or Luna. So how do you make us obey?" she asked me full of fear. "I... I don't know. I forgot that I shouldn't be able to do that." I said to her. It was the truth. Only an Alpha or Luna, could use their voice and make thier pack obey. I was different though. I was controlling a wolf that wasn't a part of my pack. I would need to ask Tavian later. For now, I needed answers. "What is your name?" I asked her nicely. "Katie. We have your brother, yet you're being nice. Why?" she said sounding hesitant. "I know that you have my brother. I'm being nice because, well, you are only doing this because you have no choice. You had to do this, or become a rogue. I can tell you don't like it. So I'm going to make you an offer." I said looking at her. As I said offer, she looked up. "What is the offer. It had better be good. Otherwise you are getting nothing from me." she said getting more confident near the end. "Here is the deal. If you give me the information and location of my little brother, I will get my mate, the Alpha, to accept you in this pack." I told her. "Ok. What about Drew?" she asked. "Drew? Is that the one who attacked my guard?" She nodded. "Is he your mate? Is that why he attacked Caleb?" She nodded again. "Well, if he can help, he can stay as well. I won't let you two be split apart." I said smiling warmly. "Thank you, Luna. I will tell you everything I know. Drew will know more as he was there for the meeting. We hadn't met at the time. We actually only met two days ago. But what I do know is this."
