Josh:
Melanie and I decided to be go to her place to start the project. We headed upstairs to her pastel looking room. Many posters hung, many stuff animals, and a lot of pink.
"So Joshy! What are we gonna write about?" She jumped onto her canopy bed, and looked up at me in amazement.
"I was thinking a scary book." She gave a little 'ooo'.
"Can we include mermaids?"
"Of course." I smiled at her.

About an hour later we have a plot put together.
A mermaid is washed up at shore, she falls in love with someone in charge of a freak show, ahe doesn't know he's using her, she gets put on display, and ends up going insane.
"Oh Joshy I'm so excited! Who know mermaids could be so scary." She giggled. I looked up at her, and she looked at me. I started to inch closer, and closer, and finally-
"Melanie! Cookies!" Mel giggled.
"I'll go get a plate for us."
So close.
