Chapter 3

The light pours into the den. Slowly waking up I streach out my back and walk outside. My new mentor Shallowleap is waiting for me. As I started to walk to him Sparkpaw trips me and I fall flat on my face. 
"First day as an apprentice and can't even stay on your paws" came a mean reply from Sparkpaws sister, Duskpaw. They wander past ,acting very proud and snooby, to their mentors. I stand up and clean my pelt trying to ignore what happened. Shallowleap walks up to me.
"Don't worry about what they say. Anyway, Snakeblood and Leafbound want to take your brothers to the Riverclan border this morrning. Do you want to go or would you rather search for ticks?" Shallowleap asked.
"Is that even a question? Of course I want to see the Riverclan border!" My heart filled with joy. Shallowleap asked me to find Camopaw, so I looked around the whole camp but couldn't find him. Suddenly I could scent him, behind the warriors den? again? I wandered over to his scent to find him talking to the myserious cat. I sneak behind him giving him a fright when i spoke. The other cat jumped in the bushes.
"Who is he?" I ask Camopaw curiously. Camopaw flinched at the question and stumbled for a bit. The myserious cat came out from hiding  and spoke.
"Hello, I am Deathskull. A brave rouge who wanders the forest insearch of allies to join me on my quest" the cat said in a surprisingly confident tone. Shortly later Leafbound approches us and gives us a fright. I turn around to see the cat who claimed to be Deathskull gone!
"There you two are. Now come on lets go see the river!".
Later on we make it to the river and we stop to do some hunting practice. Crouching down in the hunters position, my eyes are locked on a small mouse. I creep slowly foward keeping my tail loward. Then as I was about to pounce Dustpaw lands oni the now limp mouse. She picks the mouse up and looks at me. Glearing at her evily I say "That was my catch!"
"Then why do I have it" she replies snarkily. She walks back to her mentor with her head held high. She was training on the other half of the teritory but she must of wandered to far trying to cathc the mouse. Still mad at her, I turn around to see if anyone saw what happened. I saw Scarpaw holding a small sparrow in his mouth and walking towards our mentors. I run over to him and asked him how he caught it but he just ignored and walked faster. On the way to the camp I caught a very stupid vole who was standing in frount of me and just waiting to be killed. Once at camp I put my prey down on the freash kill pile when Silverkit jumps out from behind the pile.
"Did you catch that?" Silverkit asked. I just nodded my head and sat down. A while past when Brightfoot came over with Silverkit.
"Look mum, look what Darkpaw caught!" Silverkit sad excitedly "can i have it?" Silverkit pleaded. Brightfoot nodded  and said
"only if you share it with Bronzekit" Silverkit didn't reply, she just grabed the vole from the pile and ran over to Bronzekit. Well, today wasn't so bad...
