Chapter 1: invite

I woke up to my phone buzzing in my ear. My eyes looked over to see the little green LED light flashing on my phone.I rolled over and grabbed it to see that I had 4 messages all from Ashleigh, I quickly unlocked my phone and opened the first message it said

" HEY Lol when you see this call me !!! Xx "

I hoped that nothing bad had happened. When I finally opened the second one it said

" LOLA!!! Wake up you lazy cow !!! We're going out xx "

Well, at least it's nothing bad but she could of at least been a bit more polite, but that's typical Ashleigh.

I carried on reading the messages the third said

" seriously... You still haven't answered me!! We are going shopping today so wake up and get ready !!!! Xx "

And the last one stated

" Right, that's it I'm planning it with out you! I'll be at yours at 12 o clock then we'll get train into town. At 3 o clock we will eat and then at 7 we're going to the cinema to watch the fault in our stars. After you're sleeping round mine so then we can get ready for Sundays party together!!! So bitch I'm expecting you to be ready! Xx "

Oh 12 o clock I have plenty of time, I gazed over to my clock and saw that it was half 11, SHIT wait I have half an hour to get ready.

I rushed into the bathroom and jumped in the shower, I set a time limit for each thing I did so then I knew for the fact that I wouldn't be late, I quickly scrubbed myself all over and hopped out. I then spent 5 minutes on brushing my teeth and another 5 minutes for drying my hair because if I didn't dry it I'd end up looking like a poodle and I really couldn't be dealing with that today. When that was all done I hurried off to find something to wear , this was probably the hardest decision of my life, I searched through the large amount of clothes hanging up when I spotted my black dungaree dress; perfect!! I pulled out the dungaree dress and my white crop top and placed it down onto my pink bed which was covered with dog hairs. I slid on the crop top then stood into the black dress and pulled it up, when it was eventually at the right height I hooked the straps over the front of me and clipped it in place.

I sprayed my self and then made my way down the stairs. I went straight to the kitchen and searched around for a small snack , in the end I found an apple , I sat down for a few minutes and quietly ate it. I checked my phone to see that I only had 4 minutes until Ashleigh would arrive , so I took some small white cotton socks and pulled them on then I ravaged round to find my white lace up ankle boots when I finally found then I slipped them on. My lace up white platform ankle boots are my favourites I just love them so much; they're cute. A few seconds later Ashleigh banged on the door and called through the letter box , for some reason she always shouts through my letter box. She'd shout things like 'open up' 'I know you're in there so come open the door for me ' or even sometimes 'I'm gunna boot this door down if you don't open in' : she's very impatient.

I rapidly opened the door before she could have a chance of booting it down.

"Come on rat, " she moaned

I took my keys and bag off the small burgundy table that was by the radiator and exited the house.

The weather was nice and warm outside with occasional whisps of wind whistling past, The sun was beaming down making my vision quite blurred beens I had my eyes squinted.

We walked about a mile until we reached the closest train station and when we got there we had to wait half an hour: Ashleigh and I both hated waited for a huge amount of time.

" Why do you even what to come town today ? What was so important ? " I groaned tapping Ashleigh on the leg gently.

" Arwh, nothing just wanted to spend time with my bestfriend , " she said giving me a little nudge and a wink.

" Hmmm... Course, "

" Aha okay I just wanted to buy new clothes for the party on Sunday, "

" Yeah about this party ...? Who invited us ? We're like invisible ... Well I am anyway no one knows who I am , " I questioned

" well, long story short, you know my friend Brooke...-"

" the popular one ?!!!!! " I asked, my mouth was now wide open with shock

" yeh yeh let me finish... As I was saying Brooke feels sorry for me because me and her haven't spoken for ages and she feels as it she's pushing me aside a bit so she invited me to her party but ... She also stayed for me to invite more people ... Cool ish people, " she motioned her hands as if to say ' I got you invited'

" so she didn't invite me, you invited me, "

"Yeah basically but that doesn't matter. The thing that matters is that you need to look hip and cool and popular ..."

" shit, I'm not popular I can't go people will recognise me and then they throw me out, " I panicked

" listen know one knows you exist, they won't even know who you are, they'll just think you're some cool girl from another school, " she said comforting me and persuading me to go.

I nodded and agreed then we sat in silent until the train came.

When the train came it screeched and looked all rusty and old. We stood up and waited patiently for the ancient doors to open then we hopped on.
