Chapter 5: New Kid

LOLA'S POV

I got ready and dressed for school at Ashleigh's beens I was sleeping there.

As we were leaving Ashleigh's mum shouted " Have fun at school girls," we smiled then closed the doors behind us.

How could anyone have fun at school? I mean come on it's a place for sexually frustrated teens that brand and bully you for anything you do. School isn't too bad because I don't really socialise and I'm not bothered what people think of me.

We walked to school today instead of getting the bus , it was a lot easier and it was hot outside so if we got the bus it would be horrible.

We finally arrived. The first thing you notice is the massive school sign which said CRAWLFORD HIGH in big grey metal letters. Our school was quite tidy compared to other schools: the grass was neatly trimmed , there were three or four bright green trees placed out the front and a large parking lot at the side.

" Come to my locker with me quickly before the bell goes," I stated in a strict but friendly tone.

Ashleigh nodded and we made our way to my locker. My locker has a few dents in it from people that just decide to punch it... Yes out of the 400 lockers in our school mines the one that gets thumped. When you open it there's all my school books , some reading books and a couple of pictures that I stuck up. I stuffed in my science revision folder, I took about 6 minutes, it was pushed in with a huge amount of force.

Suddenly the bell screeched and everyone scrambled off to their first lessons. Me and Ash had English which was right at the back of the school so when we reached it Miss Murray questioned us.

Miss Murray finally told us to take our seats. We sit at the back beside one another, I like sitting next to her because we always work together and we can talk without making it so noticeable.

The teacher started off by telling us " We have a new boy joining into our class today so try not to make him feel uncomfortable," My eyes and nearly everyone else's scanned the room but there was no sign of a new kid, everyone here has been here since the start of the year.

She looked at the white cracked clock on the wall and started counting out the time from when the bell rang "well, this new kid isn't making a great first impression by being 15 minutes late"

Everyone laughed , gritted there teeth and made a 'wheeyyy' noise. This boy is going to get really told off especially when he's that late, Ashleigh and myself were around 2 minutes late and she questioned us as if she was some sort of crime investigator.

"Settle down, settle down. we'll just start without him"

She started teaching the class but I was totally oblivious to what she was saying, I was too busy thinking about the party. If Ashleigh didn't leave me then I wouldn't of had to wear this jumper in this boiling hot weather because that idiot boy named Luke would have never came over to me and gave me these stupid marks. I wish I had smacked him in the face; I bet his expression would be unforgettable.

Silence ran through the class room. I speedily snapped out of my thoughts and caught sight of everyone looking at the door.

"Nice for you to join us Mr Tanner," Miss Murray said unimpressed with her hands on her hip. Murray is a young teacher but for some reason she acts as if she's old.

I decided to look at the door beens everyone looked so mesmerised. I gently turned my head to see a boy leaning on the wall with a massive smirk pasted over his mouth. I blinked rapidly then opened my eyes as wide as they could go, I thought my eyes deceived me but they didn't, the tall handsome boy was Luke.
