You sat there looking this-this guy dead in the eyes with no emotion. Then you took notice of the fact he had weapons, bloody weapons. He didn't look to much older then me, but, I mean- he's wearing a mask... so. Maybe, at least, 18 or 19? He was wearing a pretty neat hoodie, love the sleeves.
You tried thinking of something to say,"Hi?" Great social skills. He took a step back, and back, and bac- he turned on his heel and ran. Huh.
I stood up and looked to my left to see my backpack, which I opened to grab one of my three water bottles. I took a sip and put it back in. Feeling like someone, probably the hoodie guy, was watching me so I stood up and walked. Where? Welp, were hoodie guy ran off, you weren't to keen on completely getting lost in the beautiful woods.
A freaking three hours and twenty-eight minutes later:
You sat down, you'd been walking for who knows how long. Your feet hurt and felt like shit, you put your shoes in your bag and just rubbed your poor feet. "God, being on the run from everything is sooo much fun!", you mumbled. "I-I kn-now, rig-ight?" Great, I'm hearing things.
"H-hey, yo-ou listening? Hel-llo?" You turned around and the guy from earlier was there, bloody weapons and all his glory sent from God the Almig- "Hell-o?" I didn't realize I had now been staring him down with no signs of life other then breathing. "Um... Hi. Who are you?", you questioned- obviously from the weapons he probably killed something... someone? "T-that's a... a top-pic for later. Wh-o are you?", he questioned me- a girl, wearing all white in a forest, like that wasn't normal! Fair point hoodie guy.
"You can call me," you looked around for something, then you heard a bird," s-song bird."
He looked satisfied with my answer, we talked more, you know, little stuff. Little 'Why're you in the woods?' and "Why do you have two bloody hatchets?", my last question. "O-oh, um. I...", he was having trouble talking again. "Killed something or someone, honestly, I don't care. I'd be fine with that actually." He looked at me and... smiled. He smiled at me. It was a pure joy and 'why-don't-you-care' smile.
As we talked and laughed at stupid stuff I caught something out of the corner of my eye. Another guy... in a... well, not 'a' but alot of monotone colours, black and white. "Hey. Who's that?" ( Heh, he told me name while we were talking.) Toby turned around and Mister Monotone was gone. I actually got a good look at him- tall, strippy arms, cone nose, yep- calln' him Mister Monotone.
"B-by chan-nce, did you ge-et a good look a-at them?", he asked like it was horrible. "Actually, yes- it looked like a monotone clown honestly." Toby then started to panick, he stood up, grabbed my bag and put it on, then grabbed my hand and ran. My feet were fine now so I wasn't in pain, just confused. Toby then proceeded to yell,"L.J leave us alone!", to which I heard laughter. Then Toby tripped... over a red piece of candy. Toby then got up and, oh my god, he chucked the candy. Then started running again,"Hey Toby, uh, if you don't mind me asking, what are we running from?"
Toby full on stopped, grabbed me, and pulled me behind him in a protective manner. The clown was now in our path laughing. "Toby, you're no fun! Why'd you run from me pal?" He then took notice of me behind him,"And who's your new friend?", he started to laugh. Earlier when I said 'Song Bird' was my name I later made it known it was not my real name. He stood still, staring at Mister Monocrome, then started to speak. "Son-g Bird." I think he had a plan, but right now I was more interested in seeing what Monocrome would do. "Song Bird?", he sounded like Toby just told him someone died. "Song Bird. What a pretty name!", he sounded like a child, then I spoke up.
"Thank you?"
