snowfall

mike opened his eyes to see his favorite curly haired girl beside him. she had a confused look on her face. before mike could say good morning, he noticed she was confused instead of happy. "what is it el?" he asked, still not quite awake. "there's something weird outside." el replied. mike sat up and looked out the window, and started to chuckle. it was snowing. el had never seen snow before, so she didn't know if she should've been scared or not. "el it's okay. it's called snow." mike reassured el. "s-snow?" el said trying the new word. "yeah! it's soft and cold." mike described. el smiled in curiosity. mike got changed into warm clothes and him and el walked outside. mike ran and jumped into the snow, and fell over to make a snow angel. el observed mike and the snow. she stepped into the snow and heard the snow crunch beneath her feet. she jumped when she heard it. "it's okay el." mike reassured el. el nodded. her and mike walked around in the snow so el could get used to the crunch of the snow. "hey guys!" lucas called as him, dustin, and will walked up to the two kids. "hey!" mike said. suddenly a snowball hit mike's back. he wiped it off and turned to see dustin and lucas snickering. mike chucked a snowball at dustin and lucas dodged the other snowball. el was really confused. "mike what's going on?" she asked him. "make a snowball and throw it at lucas! i missed!" mike replied. "snowball?" el's eyes lit up. mike blushed. "this snowball is different. you make a ball of snow and throw it at lucas, dustin, or will." mike explained. el nodded and used her powers to ball up three and threw them at each of the kids. mike chuckled. "nice el!" mike encouraged. el smiled. both were soon after ambushed by the boys.

mike and el sat on the couch in the basement, sharing a blanket with hot chocolate for the both of them. "did you have fun?" mike asked el. "yeah." she replied. they smiled at each other, enjoying the cold weather so far. mike kissed el's cheek, blushing bright red. el leaned on him as they enjoyed the evening with eachother's company.
