It was pretty normal for Harry to get excited about things. Things like road trips, new clothes, the first day of school, etcetera. It's not normal, however, for Harry to get excited over a date. He's as happy and delighted as he was before as he is now, jumping around his room and squealing like a child that just got a new bike for Christmas.

Harry doesn't even care that Liam is watching him from his bed, just continues to pace his room and try to catch his breath.

He invited Liam over as soon as he woke up in the morning, convincing him after a lot of begging and the fact that he just had to tell him this big news in person. And, after telling Liam everything, he couldn't help but freak out just a little bit.

"Liam, I'm telling you, it was magical," Harry said, finally taking a seat on his bed across from Liam.

"Magical?" Liam asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, magical! I mean, come on, here's this beautiful guy who is worth more than our two houses combined, and he chose me, out of all people, to go to dinner with. It might not have been a date, per say, but he still wanted to meet up with me after that disastrous thing in the bathroom." Harry stated, still stunned by it all.

"Okay, you've got a- wait, what thing in the bathroom?"

Harry widened his eyes in shock at what he let slip out. He really doesn't want Liam to know. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You just said-" Liam tried to say, but was cut off.

"I didn't say anything." Harry said in a stern and serious manner. His shoulders relaxed when Liam sighed and replied with an annoyed 'whatever'.

Their friendship was pretty simple; Harry would let something slip that he wasn't supposed to let slip, like an embarrassing thing or a secret somebody else had shared with him, and Liam would pretend he never said anything. Things were just easier this way.

"Video games?" Liam asked, getting tired of their current topic.

"Video games."

-

"She's just so - no, get up! - aggravating, you know? She won't stop calling me." Liam complains while he tries to win at their video game—Modern Warfare.

"I guess." Harry shrugs half-heartedly, not really understanding what Liam is talking about because she—Sophia, that is—doesn't really call him that much and she seems like a lovely girl.

"I - ugh, stupid gun - don't want a relationship with the girl, but she wants one with me. Why - God dammit - are girls so complicated?"

"You're asking the wrong guy," Harry laughs as he shoots Liam's character down, earning a groan from his best friend that's sat beside him.

Just as Liam opens his mouth to speak, Harry's phone starts vibrating in his sweatpants pocket. He looks at the name flashing across the screen; Louis.

"Oh my god, Li, it's him." Harry gasps, scrambling to stand up.

"Wha-"

"Shh! Hello?" Harry says into the phone after shushing Liam, receiving a death glare.

"Hi, Harry," Louis says.

"Um, what's up?" Harry nonchalantly asks, leaning up against the wall behind him. He ignores Liam as he makes faces to try and get Harry to laugh.

They chat for a bit and Harry forgets Liam's even in the same room as him for a while until he starts sighing in annoyance.

"So, initially, I was calling to make plans to- uh, hang out again. Would you like to do- um, that?" Louis stutters, and Harry's heart flutters at the proposal.

"Yeah, that'd be great."

They hang up after a few awkward goodbyes. Harry stares at his phone, biting his lip to hold back a smile. When he slides the device back into his pocket, Liam is staring at him with his eyebrows raised.

"What?" Harry asks.

"You are such a little girl." Liam states, rolling his eyes.

"I am not!" Harry protests.

"Yes, you actually are. God, I can't wait to see all of the photoshopped pictures of you two kissing on the internet soon. There'll be so many, nobody will be able to tell which are real and which are fake." Liam sarcastically says.

Harry just blushes because he can't wait to see them, either.

(A/N: THANK YOU FOR 1.2K READS! I love you all so much and I'm so happy you're enjoying this book. I didn't think I would even get up to 500 reads, let alone 1.2k!)

(UPDATE: I'm starting a new fic soon! It'll be a spinoff of the show, "The Office", but I haven't decided what I want the main ship to be!
