Ten years ago

"Sel you're slower then a snail come on!" Selena's brother Robert cried over his shoulder to her.
Selena, and her brother Robert were walking home from school on the dirt road in the woods. Easily a six minute walk.

"I'm sorry Robby, I'm just so tired!" She whined back trailing her boots in the watery mud.
" I have an idea!" he shouted stopping abruptly, making her crash into his back and stumble backwards.
"Lets have a race. Winner gets the loser as their own personal servant for two weeks" He offered with his head leaning to the side, and a boyish, toothy grin on his face.
Selena thought about it. There was no way she could beat Rob in a race. If she raced him it would be like already saying " Want me to prop your feet up Robert, or anything else I can do for you Robert?"
But if she crossed the forest area she could easily get there in about two minutes. Although her parents told her not to step foot off the trial, and she always listened to her mothers rules and advice. But one time couldn't hurt.

" Alright Robby, your on!"

"Okay, but don't forget I like my underwear hand washed!" Robert laughed grinning mischievously.

" Don't be so sure of yourself Robby. I could win this time!"
"On the count of three! One, Two, THREE!" Selena shouted to Rob. Robert sped off with Selena trailing right behind him. But within another second she sped into the forest.
"This isn't bad. Why didn't mom let us come this way from the start? It is a little dark in this area, but I know I've already past rob." She thought curiously.
She continued running, but soon noticed that she had climbed over the same rock four times already. It was also beginning to get darker outside.
She was petrified of the dark. She just wanted to go home, she didn't care if she had to wash Roberts underwear or his yucky jockstraps from football practice. She just wanted to be home with Robby, her father, and her mother drinking hot chocolate on the balcony and catching fireflies afterwards.

" Rob.." she crooked softly."
"Robby"
"Rob?"
"Robert!" She finally screamed. She was beginning to pant heavily, her asthma was kicking in.
She sat on the ground, placed her backpack on her lap, and franticly searched for her inhaler. She started breathing short breaths, and wheezing due to her panic. She found it undid the front to open it, and placed it in her mouth then pressed down on the top button. She held her breath as the wired tasting medication flooded her mouth, and infiltrated into her lungs. She counted to ten and then exhaled. She stared sadly at the her name, her mother wrote on the bottom in marker in her fancy cursive. She felt a tear roll down the side of her face. She would never get to see her mother again.

Then she heard a sound; the sounds of leaves crunching against the forest floor.

" Who's there?" she shakily asked. "Robert, if that's you this isn't funny anymore! I'm scared. Robby, please come out!" she whisper the last part softy.
"Who is Robert, princess?" A deep, rough, voice she didn't recognize asked from above her.
She didn't answer. Or even bother to look as to where the voice came from. She took off running, she felt twigs and branches hit and scrape her face, as she pushed away anything that was in her way. She ran but only ended up in the same place she ended up in before.
" You can't run from me princess. I'm always going to know where you are. What's your name my little love?" the alluring almost hypnotic voice asked her now his voice was coming from the left side of her.
She shivered involuntarily and gulped loudly causing him to chuckle.
" I'm- i'm truly sorry sir, my mom told me not to talk to strangers!" she said trying to speak politely, even though she was trembling in her baby pink rain boots.
She was moving backwards, searching for where the voice was coming from. Until she felt her back hit something hard. She then felt a hand on her shoulder, the contact made her shoulder and back feel a rush of sparks. The person behind her must have felt her position herself to run.
"Don't run away from me princess!" he commanded sternly. But she didn't care, ran off but then she bumped into the person again. She felt their hands grasp around her shoulders, and spin her around so her back was to him. She felt him bend down and warm breath caress her ear.
" I told you not to run" he said teasingly. And then he stroked her smooth wavy dark hair. Then unexpectedly he turned her around. Because of the moon shining through holes in the trees, she saw his pink lips and clean shaven face. The rest of his face was covered by a hoodie and he was very tall she had to look up to see him. "But I know I'm going to love chasing you" he smirked then went to her hair, nuzzling it. With his face in her hair he inhaled deeply.
" You smell so divine, I could just bite you" he whispered his breath fanning her ear. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it would fall out of her chest and onto the ground.
Then he did the unthinkable and he bite her. The pain was excruciating and she felt as if her body was being ripped apart. She screamed and shouted and she tried to push him away. But he held onto her shoulders with an iron grip. The pain was so intense she felt her little body slipping out of consciousness. Her eyes became heavy and before she passed out the last word she heard was "Soon."
