After a long day of last minute Christmas shopping and going to Liverpool's Christmas party, Perrie knew why she preferred staying in bed all day. Alex and her had been outdoors the whole day, only stopping at home for a quick dinner. Then they had stayed until quite late at the party, playing games and socializing. Alex was still slightly drunk, whereas Perrie was sober and had to keep him under check during the night. Her throat was healing well, but she still didn't dare try alcohol.

The twins had stayed at the house the whole day, helping clean and prepare things for the days of Christmas. After all, they had invited themselves to her home for the next two weeks. Perrie wanted to gag at herself for putting up the act of telling the twins that they didn't have to prepare everything. They deserved to be the ones cleaning the house, and Perrie was beyond happy that she didn't have to do most of the job.

"We're just heading to bed, see you tomorrow," Alex smiled at Lucy, who had come to open the door for them.

Perrie put on a fake smile as they walked through the door. "Goodnight," she said while hanging up her coat, and quickly went to follow Alex to their room before he was out of her sight.

A hand grabbed tightly onto her wrist from behind her. Damnit, Perrie thought as she whipped around to come face-to-face with Lucy.

"What did you do at the Christmas party, Perrie?" Lucy demanded.

"I didn't say anything all day, I didn't even drink any alcohol," Perrie replied, staring at Lucy's fingertips that were turning white because of how hard she held onto Perrie's wrist. She was glad that her cardigan covered most of her arm, otherwise the bruises could still be easily seen.

Fingers roughly grabbed Perrie's chin and pulled it up. Lucy's eyes bored holes into Perrie's, trying to look for evidence that she was lying. But Perrie knew well enough that she shouldn't.

"Look me in the eye when you say that," Lucy ordered.

"I didn't say anything about you all day, I didn't even drink any alcohol," Perrie repeated, looking Lucy in the eye to let her know that she wasn't lying. Even though she was telling the truth, Perrie still felt uneasy under Lucy's piercing gaze.

Reluctantly, Lucy let go of Perrie.

"Go back to your room, and don't say anything stupid," Lucy finally said. Perrie wanted to snarl back at her for once, mainly because she didn't want to be controlled by someone else in her own home, but she played submissive.

"I won't," Perrie lied.

An awkward moment of silence passed between them, and Perrie couldn't help but remember the time they had met at the Gold Magic perfume launch and how well they had hit off. She had been close friends with them for two years and now...

It was almost like the moment of awkward silence was a moment of silence to reminisce their close friendship that they once had—or the one she thought they had—, which was now destroyed because she had realized how fame-craving the twins really were.

With that, Perrie ran away from Lucy and into her shared bedroom with Alex, locking the door behind her. Hatchi was running around the room and semi-drunk Alex was trying to get him to go to bed. Perrie couldn't help but laugh at the sight. He was always extremely jumpy before going to bed.

It took a little over half an hour, but after a lot of laughing from Perrie and over-exaggerated frustration from Alex, Hatchi finally curled into the dog bed.

"Finally," Alex laughed, hugging his girlfriend from behind as they lay together in bed. Perrie smiled giddily and turned around to face him. She kissed him on top of his nose and he smiled back.
