Alex looked down at his phone again, rereading the text message on his new iPhone for what had to be the thousandth time.
Jesy N: Please help me with perrie, she stayed with me last night instead of going home with the tw*ns and I think there really mad at her, I dont know what i should do
He was already on his way down to London, he had left Liverpool in the morning, coming a day earlier so he could surprise Perrie, but...
What the hell were the twins going to do to her? Alex didn't even care if Jesy knew what was happening to Perrie, his main concern was what the twins were planning.
Alex had no idea, they were so unpredictable. That terrified him the most. He was conflicted, his mind running through hundreds of possible scenarios. Would they get Perrie alone to do something to her? Would they threaten Ellie, like they had said that they would? Or would the twins decide to turn sloppy and attack both Jesy and Perrie? Should he get the police involved, or would that bring unwanted media attention?
With shaky fingers, Alex tried to write a response.
Alex OC:
I'm hooked up with a private investigator, I'll let them know to be on the lookout for the twins today. In the meantime, keep your eye out for Perrie at all times please. I'm on my way to London now, but I might need to run a few errands myself if what you said is true. Also, I saw the videos from last night I hope you're feeling good lmaoHe finally sent the text message after rewriting it countless amounts of times. She responded almost right away.
Jesy N: Thanks alex, please keep me updated if you find something, ill keep you updated too. Take your time, ill make sure perrie is safe. She actually made me breakfast to cure my hangover so it's good I guess.
Alex wrote a small response back to Jesy, before writing an email to his private investigator, begging for help. He was terrified, and completely stressed out since he couldn't be there for Perrie at the moment.
So he decided, as soon as he arrived in London, he would go see the twins at Perrie's apartment. To keep an eye on them.
For the remaining hour of the train ride, Alex couldn't sit still. His hands jittered and he relied on tightly grasping his phone to stay sane. After all the football games he had played in, his heart had never beaten this fast before. He could hear the blood rushing through his ears. Alex felt sick.
He felt sick as the train arrived in London, he felt sick as he sat in the car, he felt sick as he walked up to the door of Perrie's flat, knowing that it wasn't his love who was on the other side of the door.
"Hey, Perr—oh," Alex greeted Lydia at the door, feigning confusion. He balled his hands up into fists and shoved them into his pockets, so the twin in front of him couldn't see his shaking hands.
"Where's Perrie?" he asked nonchalantly, as he walked past Lydia and into the apartment. Alex even nodded to Lucy at the kitchen island, to seem as unsuspicious as possible.
"I thought you'd know that?" Lucy replied, looking up from her phone to raise an eyebrow at him. Alex pretended like their stares didn't make him feel even more nauseous as he went to Perrie's fridge to get a drink.
"No, she just told me when she'd be back, nothing about where she is. Work related?" he spoke, making sure his voice sounded neutral. Alex eagerly drank from the bottle of iced tea, the cool, sweet liquid soothing his parched throat.
