"The two of you are just adorable!" Alex's mother squealed as she took another picture of the couple together on the bean chair.
Perrie between Alex's legs in his embrace, and they were both in their robes, holding up champagne glasses. Perrie's had alcohol, but due to the fact that Alex had a football game the following day, his glass had orange juice. He didn't mind though. Just by looking at his smile, Perrie couldn't help but smile in return.
"Okay babe, because you're missing midnight, you'll have to kiss me goodnight," Perrie pouted, feigning extreme disappointment.
Alex gave Perrie a quick peck on the lips, but Perrie was fast and pulled him in for a longer one.
"Alright Perrie do you want to look at the pictures or not?" Alex's mother joked.
"Ooh yes!" Perrie exclaimed and quickly stood up to get her phone returned.
"You should post this one," Alex's mother suggested and showed Perrie one of the pictures. Perrie agreed and took her phone to write a cute caption.
Happy new year from us! Mr Professional over here went to bed ahead of his game tomorrow... the OJ musta been too much! Me however... on the champs celebrating a great year! What a year you were 2017! 2018 I'm ready for ya!
She sent out the post, and almost immediately it received thousands of likes and comments. Perrie liked a few of the sweet messages but turned off her phone afterwards.
"Goodnight, I'll be back in bed at like one, so sleep tight," she told Alex before he went upstairs to their room.
Perrie spent the rest of the night with Alex's family, who she had grown to love almost as much as her own family over the past few months. They were all really kind and Perrie was happily looking forwards to spending the entire week with them.
"It's been eleven days and Perrie still hasn't messaged us at all," Lucy said out loud as the twins sat in what would be Perrie's room when she was in London in her shared flat with Ellie.
"I cannot believe that she's already trying to forget about us," Lydia stated.
"Exactly, after that stunt she pulled with Alex. If she doesn't get reminded of us, she will snap and tell him, we can't let that happen," Lucy added. "We should get her over here for a few days, she never learned her lesson after. Not like she can while she's with him all the time."
"Lucy, you're a genius," Lydia told her sister as she pulled out her laptop and turned it on. "How do we get her to come though?"
"Well we could just threaten her, like always..."
"Mmm..." Lydia thought for a moment. "We need some way to show her we're serious, I don't know...maybe frame her of something controversial on social media."
"Yes, maybe liking a controversial tweet," Lucy agreed and started to log into Little Mix's shared Twitter account.
"No, I don't think we can do Twitter, people might pin it on the other members," Lydia remarked. "We have to do it on her Instagram, because then everyone will know it's her."
"Right," Lucy said, switching applications and logging into Perrie's Instagram.
"Should she like a post about Zayn and Gigi, or something posted by a Perrie-extremist that brings down the other members?" Lydia questioned. "We should really embarrass her."
"I got it," Lucy realized. "Something with cultural appropriation, since she hasn't done anything in a while. Besides, every time one a celebrity does it they get a lot of hate and exploited on news sites everywhere."
The twins laughed and excitedly started their search for a controversial post about cultural appropriation.
"This one has a caption that reads, 'I don't get why my Perrie always gets hate for nothing she's not hating on black people she's only using that hairstyle for fashion, and she looks great it in you all should stop hating all the time!'," Lydia tried to contain her laughter while reading out loud.
"Wow, one hundred and ninety-six comments, they're really having a fight in the comments section," Lucy noticed. "But it's three days old, and that post only has six likes, I don't think anyone can find it on their explore page, and no one tagged Perrie in the comments."
"I thought so too, that's why I also found this edit of Perrie in braids," Lydia said. "I don't think they're French or Dutch."
"It's a repost though, don't you think Perrie should like the original?" Lucy asked.
"No, I think it would piss off the original creator too," Lydia snickered.
Lucy nodded and they both watched as they clicked the heart and watched it turn red.
