The wound looked painful, real painful, so Julian made sure he was as careful as he could be while putting the bandage onto it. The alien winced slightly at the pain, but was fine after the cut was hidden behind the bandage. "So, you understand English?" To be honest, Julian didn't really expect a reply; but after a few seconds the creature replied "My planet speaks the language, so yes, I do." Julian was surprised, again, he didn't expect a reply or the alien to even speak, but it's voice to Julian was somewhat soft and comforting. He thought all this was stupid, it was an alien, he can't have these feelings towards a creature that's not even from the same planet as him.

This awkward silence between them was stretching on, Julian looked over at the creature, it was fiddling with its thumbs in its lap, he decided to break the silence by asking some more questions. "What's your name?" The alien looked up but quickly darted its gaze back to its hands, "Um, it's DingDong."
"DingDong? That's your name?" The alien looked embarrassed and Julian felt bad so he apologised. "It's okay, it's a dumb name, I know."
"It's not dumb, I like it."
DingDong had never had anyone say this to him before, it felt nice to have someone say they liked it. "What's your name?" DingDong asked, "It's Julian, My name's Julian." He smiled. Julian's smile was contagious, people had said that before; so DingDong couldn't help but crack a small smile back.
"Is it uncomfortable? Your spacesuit, I mean." Julian inquired. "Sorta, I guess the blood made it kinda wet." DingDong mumbled. Another few seconds of silence.
"Do you want some clean clothes?" DingDong looked at Julian and shrugged his shoulders, "If it's okay with you, I guess, Thank you; Julian."
"Not at all! I'll go and pick you something out, just to save you getting up." Julian glanced back at DingDong's wound, then left to find some clothes for him.

After a couple of minutes, DingDong heard the door click and Julian appeared from the other room, setting a neat pile of clothes down on the arm of the couch. "Sorry if you don't like these, I tried to find something I thought would suit you but if you don't like it I'm totally fine with going back a-"
"Julian it's fine." DingDong laughed softly. Julian blushed, DingDong's laugh was like music to his ears, but once again, Julian mentally scolded himself for thinking that way, it would be weird for him to be attracted to this alien. He didn't like him. Did he?
