~3rd person POV~
"Due to lieutenant Laurens' sudden blindness, i'm afraid that he'll have to hand over his command..." Says the doctor to Washington, feeling a bit of pity for himself. The general nods and the doctor leaves the room.
Meanwhile, John is sitting down on a wooden chair, his hands between his closed legs and his head down. His eyes are open, but he can't see at all. Alexander is knelt down in front of him, looking worryingly at his friend's eyes. The precious green color had been drained from them and they were now stained with grey. Hamilton held himself to John's knee with one hand before getting up and looking at Washington, with some tears on his eyes.
"Hamilton," Speaks the general "please help Laurens to the front door". Alex nods, knees down again and takes Laurens by the shoulder.
"Hey," He says softly "let's get you home, okay?". John nods and smiles in response. He stands up with Alex's help and grabs his arm. John's eyes move frantically from place to place, trying unconsciously to see something. They walk up to the exit in silence, until Hamilton decides to speak "I... I'm sorry..." He says and they stop walking right in front of the hospital's door "This is all m-my fault. I'm t-terrible. Y-you should't be around me a-anymore". Tears start going down his cheeks "I can't imagine h-how hard this m-must be... I'm a d-disaster. E-everyone has to pay for my mess-ups a-and i... I—".
"Hamilton, please don't cry" He is cut off by John. He turns. A soft, comforting smile takes place on the taller one's lips.
"I'm not..." Mumbles Alex and looks down, whipping his tears off, even though he couldn't see those.
"Alexander..." He grabs Alex's chin and '''looks''' at him (you can kill me if you want) in the eye. "I'll never forget the way you sound when you cry." Hamilton's eyes widen and more tears fall down his cheeks. He giggles sadly and frees himself from John's hand by grabbing it.
"Okay..." Their fingers intertwine together and Laurens smiles. Sobs come out of Alex's mouth and he hugs him. John hesitates for a second before hugging him back. "I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry..." He whispers into his friends chest.
"It's okay... It's not your fault" John mumbles into their hug and drags his free hand through Hamilton's head.

A few days passed by since the '''incident'''. Lafayette and Hercules found out 2 days after it happened. They were really apologetic, even though they didn't have anything to do with it. Hamilton insisted John to stay at his house until he got used to being blind, which he agreed to. But his house didn't have enough space for them, so instead they switched to Laurens' house.
"I only have one bedroom though..." Mentions John.
"That's okay. I can sleep on the couch" Alex rushes to answer. "I don't mind at all" He says fidgeting his hands and blushing a bit. John scratches his elbow (?) and looks down.
"I'd like you to... Umm" Laurens lowers his volume with each word.
"Y-yes?"
"I mean, i m-might get lost a-and need someone t-to guide me, y-you know..?" He stutters and blushes. Hamilton giggles and whispers 'sure'.
That night, Laurens was laying down on his side, facing the wall and waiting for Alexander to come, as he was brushing his teeth. John fiddled with a string of his hair while staring into nothingness. (Literally lol) Suddenly, he feels the mattress sink a bit because Alex had laid down on the other side. There was an awkward silence between them until Alex decided to make '''the move'''. (It's time to make... mY mOVe xD) He slid his arms around John's chest and hugged him tightly.
"I-is this okay?" He stutters close to Laurens' ear. John places his hand on Alex's and holds it. "I-i'll take that as a yes" He says and smiles. They both stay like that for at least an hour until Alex fell asleep, but John didn't sleep at all. There was something, a feeling, bothering him. Somehow, Alex woke up. He was sleepy and confused. He realized that, while asleep, he had cuddled closer to John. He could feel his breath, that's how close he was.
"I- uhh" Mumbled Alex getting further away from John. "Sorry.."
"Come back" Says John quietly.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Come closer, please?"
Alexander felt his heart race and his face heat up. Hesitantly, he approaches Laurens and makes himself into a ball next to him. He turns to see John's face and he is... smiling. And blushing. Without thinking, Alexander holds John's cheek and crashes his lips onto his (?). He quickly moves away, realizing what he had just done.
"IMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORRYIM SOSOSOSOSOSORRY" He starts rambling but is immediately interrupted by John kissing him again.
"Don't be. I liked it"
