~John POV~
I was just finishing lunch with Lafayette and Hercules while we talked about nonsense. You know us. (Oops sorry fourth wall) I left my tray on a table and threw away my recyclable cup. I walked around for a bit, because i didn't have class until 2:45 and it was 1:10 ish, and the clock eventually hit 2:30. I started getting ready for class but then Alexander approached me. His locker was right next to mine and we would often leave sticky notes on each other's to remember something or set up some kind of meeting after class. We started a small conversation until the bell rang.
"Hey, wanna come with me?" Alex asked suddenly, blushing a bit. Surprised, i turned and raised an eyebrow.
"Where exactly?" I ask.
"You'll see" He says, extending out his hand as an invitation for me to take it.
"Woah, right now?" I take his hand and he nods. "Alex," I giggle "I have class!"
"I know" He smirks back at me.
"I can't just skip class!!" I say in obviousness.
"Why not?" He chuckles a bit.
"Because-.." I start but stay quiet.
"Yeah, that's what i thought. C'mon! It'll be worth it" He says and pulls my hand, suggesting me to follow him.
"Okay, okay!" I give in and run behind him.
He takes me out of school and shows me the way to his motorcycle. Yes, he has a motorcycle. He hands me his helmet, because safety, but i walk back and he frowns.
"No way, no" I say, shaking my hands.
"Please? Just trust me" He says and i look at him directly. In his eyes i saw him plead and i gave in, for the second time. I couldn't say no to those deep purple-to-brown eyes. I sigh and put on the helmet. I'm concerned for him because he doesn't have one at all. He slides in on the vehicle and pats the place behind him. I sit awkwardly and he laughs. I stayed there nervous until he grabbed my hands and placed them on his hip. "It's okay" He says and looks at me funny. I nod and he starts the engine. BRRROOM BRROOM BRRRRR- (what am i doing) I yelp a bit and he chuckles loudly. He warns "Hold on tight!" as we pick up a little speed. We reach the street and he goes even faster. I hold on even tighter and shut my eyes.
"The wind is beautiful, isn't it?" He jokes and we both laugh.
"You're crazy!" I say, shouting a bit.
"I know, thanks" He jokes again. He's such a fool.

He stops near a parking lot and turns off the engine. "We're here" He says and i take my helmet off. I look around and notice that he took us to the beach. I look at him surprised and he smiles. "I've been meaning to ask... Um, w-will you go on a date with me..?" He asks, rubbing the back of his neck. I blush and after a few seconds i nod. He smiles widely at my response and takes my hand.
We run around the shore and on the sand for a while until he flops on the floor in defeat. We laugh and i sit down, he sits back. We stare at the sunset calmly with our breathings slow. I feel his warm hand on mine, as he tries to take it not so subtly. I accept his hand and we intertwine our fingers. I notice him smile softly and close his eyes.
"Thank you" He mumbles quietly, but loud enough for me to hear it.
"For what?" I ask.
"For not leaving me standing alone" He chuckles.
"I would never do that! You're my best friend!" I say and he turns to look at me with a smirk.
"I don't wanna be your 'best friend'," He says and i frown all of a sudden. "I wanna be more than that" He adds, slowly leaning in. I didn't notice i was leaning in too until our lips touched. He kissed me, i kissed him. The kiss became more of a make-out, but it was sweet and warm, not rough. Wow... I kissed my 'best friend'... What are we now..? I think... I think i like him... No, i don't just like him.
I'm in love with him.
