I woke up to my phone ringing. I grabbed it off my night stand and seen it was Austin.
"Austin, it's 3 am?" I said and sat up and turned my lamp on.
He sobbed into the phone. "I'm sorry. I just need someone to talk to right now." He cried.
"It's fine, that's fine. What's wrong?" I asked him.
"It's just one of those nights. Just been thinking too much." He started sobbing again.
"Hey, it's okay. I know what you mean. I have those nights all the time." I said getting out of bed and changing into some black skinny jeans and just put a sweatshirt on not worrying about a shirt.
"What's your address Austin?" I grabbed my keys off of my counter and left went out to my car.
After he told me his address we hung up and I drove off to his house.
——
I texted him that I was here and he unlocked the gate and told me to just come inside.
I walked inside his house and it was huge. I found some stairs so I decided to go up them.
I started to hear his sobs so I just followed them into a room.
I opened the door and walked inside.
"Austin?" I closed the door behind me and walked in more.
I seen him come around the corner and he wrapped his arms around me and leaned his head down into my shoulder.
"Thank you for coming." He said sniffing.
We walked further into his bedroom and there was beer bottles and cans everywhere.
I sighed. "You drank a lot tonight you should get some rest Austin." I told him sitting on his bed.
He nodded and laid down on his bed.
I stood up after he was under his covers and began to walk off.
"Stay." He said in a raspy voice and grabbed my hand.
I looked at him and he look exhausted.
"Okay." I got into his bed next to him and he cuddled into my side and his face in my neck.
"Tell me that it's all okay." He whispered. His voice was shakey.
I hugged him and closed my eyes.
"It's all okay." I whispered back to him.
After a while he fell asleep and then I fell asleep.
———
The sun shined in my eyes and woke me up.
I opened my eyes and looked around the room. Flashbacks from last night played in my head. It really hurt me to see him the way he was last night. How broken he was.
I got out of the bed and walked out of the room and downstairs.
"You're up! Good I made breakfast. It's eggs and bacon. Like a lot of bacon." He said smiling and putting food on plates. His hair was all the way down and he had a big white long sleeve shirt and some boxers that were pretty much shorts.
"Thank you. Where do I go?" I asked.
"Just go sit in the living room, I'll bring you your food." He said pointing down the hall.
I walked down the hall he pointed at and entered into a big room.
I stood there in shock. Everything in this house is so damn nice.
I walked over to the couch and sat down on it and looked at the tv. It was huge.
"You can turn the tv on Raven." He said laughing.
I nodded and grabbed the remote and it was already on amazing world of Gumball.
"I love this show." I said excitedly like a little kid.
"Okay, heres your food and your orange juice. All I have to say is prepare yourself because my cooking is amazing." He said and sat down next to me.
"Thank you." I took a bite and for eggs they were really good.
"These are really good." I said eating my bacon.
"Yeah I have a secret ingredient." He said sassily.
I laughed and continued eating and watching the show.
After we were done eating we were laughing at some cartoons.
"Hey, Raven. I want to thank you for coming last night. You helped a lot." He said turning towards me.
"Really? I felt so useless. I felt like I was just making things worse." I said blushing.
"You just being there made me feel so much more better." He said smiling.
I smiled back. He laid down and put his head in my lap.
I hesitantly touch his hair. He sighed and I ran all my fingers through his hair and just played with his hair.
"You're hair is soft." I said.
"Thank you." He said laughing.
He stood up and reached over to the coffee table and grabbed his cigarettes and lighter.
"Want one?" He asked lighting his cigarette.
"Yeah." I grabbed one and lit it.
"So, I'm leaving I'm a week and half. And I don't really have anyone to go with and I'm always alone and bored after shows and shit. And I was thinking maybe you could come with me? Like the whole week and half we can get used to each other more, you know? So your like more comfortable being with me for a while and so you have time to think about it." He said taking a long drag from his cigarette and flicked it into an ash tray.
"Oh my god! Are you serious?!" I asked excitedly.
"So serious dude, like super serious." He said laughing.
"It's going to be like about 2 months though. That's why I want you to think about it." He said standing again and went into the kitchen.
I got up and went into the kitchen and sat down on a stool.
He pulled two bud lights out and handed it to me.
I took a drag from my cigarette and opened the can and took a drink.
"Is this all you drink?" I asked him laughing.
"Yeah, pretty much." He said shrugging and took drink.
I started thinking about the tour. I think it could be the best time of my life and I'd love it. I really want to go.
I have a week and a half to change my mind anyways.
"Hey Austin, I, I want to go with you on tour." I said smiling.
His face lit up and he smiled wildly and got off the counter and walked towards
and hugged me.
He pulled away and looked at me with his bright blue eyes and smiled again.
"I'm glad." He said and finished his cigarette and so did I.
"I'm going to go home and figure it out now while I can. You can come with?" I suggested and stood up and put my slides on.
"Let me go change right quick." He said and rushed up the stairs.
I laughed and shook my head.
