Chapter2: First Deal

Trav Harper's POV

Gulantang man, tumayo na din ako. I have a championship to win at 'di hamak naman na mas importante iyon kesa sa pag-iisip kay Ash! Nailing-iling na lamang ako sa inasta ni Abo. The hell I care with her? Cry all she want! I seriously don't give a fuck.

"You hate her that much?" Napatalon ako sa gulat! Liningon ko ang nagsalita. It's Hawk. Isa sa barkadahan ni Aim— Ash's twin. Also, my classmate.

"Papatayin mo ba 'ko sa gulat?!" Inis 'kong singhal sakanya. Hindi ko namalayan na may ibang tao pa pala dito. Tapos, Ano namang gagawin niya dito? Hindi naman siya varsity. Kailan pa ba siya nandito? Narinig niya kaya? Pero ano naman kung narinig niya. It's not like I was not vocal with my disgust with Ash.

Nginisian niya nalang ako. I raised my middle finger at him and then he laughed. I felt proud. Kinatatakutan si Hawk sa school namin and I am not one of those people, I'm his friend actually. Kaya naman, it's an honor to treat him normally. There are rumors of him running a fraternity. What they don't know is that those aren't rumors, those were facts. He himself confessed that to me. He even tried recruiting me. I shrugged.

Segundo ang lumipas pero wala pa din kaming imik. Mukha siyang balisa't problemado kaya naman ay hindi ako maka-alis. Maaring ako iyong sadya niya dito. Maybe he needs a friend?

"Ash is in trouble," Nangunot naman ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. Well, of course she is in trouble. There is nothing shocking about that. In fact, they all are in trouble. They're in a fraternity, what do they expect? Peaceful lives? Kalokohan.

"Being in a frat gives a lot of perks. Access that normal teenager can't—" I cut him. Mukhang alam ko na kung bakit siya nandito.

"For the nth time, I don't want to be in your frat!" Tumawa ako. Is it the time of the month already? Lagi akong inaaya ni Hawk na sumali sakanila. Kesyo I have what it takes daw including my black belter taekwando skills. Never will I be a part of those frats! Maldo Andwae! That's the last will my true parents wished before they died.

"NO! What I mean is... I can get the answers you've been looking for." Tila parang nabingi ako. Paano niy nalaman iyon? Hindi man sigurado ay nararamdaman kong, iyon ang itinutukoy niya. Naguguluhan ako pero may naiintindihan ako. Is he trying to help me find my parent's cause of death?

My foster parents made me believe that the sudden fire causing my parent's death was an accident. It has been three years, still It does not make any sense! My parents would not say things to me if they knew they were safe from danger. They would not bid their goodbyes if they knew that would not happen.

I looked at him. We first met at a taekwando class, and that's like 6 years ago. I knew him that long. May alam si Hawk. He can help me.

"I'll help you but you help me too." Sabi niya't inabot ang kamay niya saakin. Tinanggap ko iyon ng walang alinlangan atsaka siya hinamon,

"What's the deal?"

I tried speaking to the police to investigate my parent's death but no one, no one even listened to me. They all forced me to believe that it was purely an accident!

"Protect Ash." Agad naman akong napabitaw sa kamay niya! What the fuck? I looked at him, waiting for him to laugh and said that it's not the real deal. Bumalik ang balisa niyang itsura at doon naman ako napaamang. He's serious, huh?

"Seriously?" I asked him. He just heard me screaming my ass out at Ash and here he is, asking me to protect Abo? Where's the sense? What the fuck?

"Seriously. Our frat is in trouble. They started digging into our personal lives. We don't have any idea why but one thing's for sure,"

"What?"

"We need masks." He said. Naguluhan ako lalo. Mask? What does he mean by that?

Magtatanong na sana ako pero nagsalita na naman siya, "You'll find out soon. The important thing is, You protect their target."

Napamura nalang ako sa isip ko.

A week passed since we won the championship. A week since Hawk and I had a deal and a week since I last saw Ash. Napakamot nalang ako sa ulo ko. Saan ba nagsisilusot iyon?

Pumasok na ako sa room. Wala pa din siya, absent na naman siguro. Nakakainis! Ang drama talaga ng Abo na iyon! Kung wala lang kaming deal ni Hawk hindi ako mababahala ng ganito. Padabog kong nilagay ang gamit ko sa table at nilingon ang katabi kong silya. Isa pa itong kakambal niya, nagpalipat sa last section. Probably part of their plan?

Inabangan ko nalang ang pintuan at baka biglang umiba ang ihip ng hangin at mapagdesisyunan ni Abo na pumasok na. Medyo nangiti ako. Imposibleng good girl talaga iyang si Abo! With all of the bad influences, she remained kind my ass! Nagbabait-baitan lang iyan, she would'nt be the target if she really is kind anyway.

Napatayo ako nang makita ko si Ash! My mood changed instantly. Time to fulfil my deal with Hawk. Agad kong tinawid ang distansya namin sa isa't-isa. Gulat niya akong tiningnan pero hindi ko na siya pinansin at hinatak siya palabas.

We'll cut classes today, good girl.
