Ryan closed his locker, discovering Leo and Leah were standing by with devious grins. He looked at them, a slight concerned look, "Umm-"He was cut off when Leah said, "We managed to get your boyfriend to come along with us to run lines at Spencer's."
Ryan blushed, "H-He's not my boyfriend!"
"Yet." Leo smirked.
"No. No we are not doing another Operation X." Ryan groaned.
"Yes we are." Leo grinned.
"Operation X?" Leah asked.
"It's when we set up couples that obviously need to be together but are too stubborn to admit their feelings." Leo explained, "How do you think you and Maria got together?"
"My charm and great personality." Leah grinned."Wrong, we literally set you two up." Ryan butted in, "But I still don't see why we have to set up Evan and me. I highly doubt he likes me."
"You highly doubt who likes you?" Evan asked from behind the group.
Ryan blushed and had a literal mental shutdown, "This dude that Ryan really likes and is was too dense to figure out that the dude likes him back." Leah explain with a smirk.
"L-Leah doesn't know what she's talking about. There's no way the dude likes me so let's just head to Spencer's." Ryan quickly said.
"I'm sure whoever you like likes you. I mean, you're a great person and you are pretty cute." Evan noted as the group walked to the parking lot.
Ryan blushed, "T-Thanks." He stuttered.
Leah and Leo smirked at each other, both thinking one thing. Evan is totally in love with Ryan. And they'd be right, but Ryan is the only one who can't tell.
"Alright, Leo can only take me because he decided to not clean out his car and he literally has a pile of random things in the back seats. Soooooo Ry, Evan will be giving you a ride." Leah explained.
Ryan's eyes widened for a moment, "You planned this didn't you?" He mouthed at her.
She shrugged with a grin, opening the passenger's door to Leo's car. A "vintage" blue Ford Fiesta. Vintage here means old and passed down from his dad after his dad got a new car.
Ryan followed Evan to his grey Prius. Ryan opened the door to the car and sat down in the passenger's seat, placing his bag by his feet. The car was relatively clean. Minus a half empty Jolly Ranchers bag in the back seat, a pair of headphones carelessly strewn on the back seat, and a few various books scattered in the books. Evan tossed his backpack in the back as he sat down.
He turned on the ignition and started for the exit. Ryan awkwardly sat in the passenger's seat, there wasn't much he could say. What would someone even say while they were sitting in their crush's car as they both headed to a diner to run lines for the school musical? Not really much to say, is there?
The pair drove in silence to Spencer's, which was about a five minute drive. The only sound was from the radio, which was currently blasting some cheesy romance song. Ironic, right?
Evan turned into the parking lot, Ryan scanned the lot for Leo's car. And of course, it was not there. Evan got out, quickly followed by Ryan. Ryan immediately knew why, the twins were basically leaving him and Evan alone. On what most people would consider a date.
Evan got them a table and they sat down across from each other, "Where's Leo and Leah?" Evan asked.
"I'll text them." Ryan pulled out his phone.
Ryan: WHERE R U GUYS
Leo: where do you think dumb dumb
Ryan: YOU CANT JUST LEAVE ME ALONE WITH EVAN
Leo: uhhhhh yeah we can
Ryan: I stg you two better show up within the next twenty minutes or I will demolish you"Leo forgot his script at his house and they had to run back to grab it. They should be here soon." Ryan quickly lied, putting away his phone.
Then the waitress came over, "Hi I'm Kiera, your sever this evening. What can I get you boys for drinks?" She asked.
