"Attitude" (SonAmy Boom)

Chapter 4

Sticks was still at Amy's cottage helping her pack. Her eyes are still watery. She grabbed a picture frame from Amy's desk. Before she could put it in the suitcase, she realized it was the first picture she and Amy took when Amy moved to Bygone Island. That was five  years ago.

Sticks hugged the picture. She felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and saw her best friend smiling warmly at her, some tears on her eyes as well. They hugged.

"Amy! Hey Amy! "

The girls stopped hugging once they heard Amy's communicator go on. They recognized the voice as Tails. Amy wiped her eyes then spoke at the communicator.

"Y-Yeah, Tails? " She cursed at herself for stuttering.

"Uh, are you crying?... That's a dumb question. Of course you are, after happened with you and Sonic-"

"What was that?! "

"U-Uh,... N-N-Nothing! Nothing at a-all! " Tails tried to talk steadily but desperately failed.

"Tails, what did Sonic tell you?! "

"Uhm,... Can you come at Meh Burger at six? " Tails asked, quickly avoiding the question.

"Why? "

"W-We wanted t-to, uhm, to, u-uh... "

Sticks, who knows that Tails and Knuckles are probably setting something up to fix things, quickly backed up Tails. "They probably just wanted to cheer you up! Right, Tails? "

"Y-Yeah! That's it! " Tails was relieved, but also got reminded that Sticks is with the pink hedgehog. "So whaddaya say, Amy? "

"... "

"Amy? You there? "

"... "

"Amy? " Sticks grabbed her hand. Amy looked to her then smiled.

"Yeah, Tails. I'll be there. Thanks. " At that said she turned off her communicator.

"Amy, you okay? " Sticks asked, remembering that her best friend was deep in thought few seconds ago.

"Yeah, I'm just thinking if I should tell them about me moving. "

"If you're not ready for it, I could tell them. After you... leave.

Amy smiled gratefully towards the badger. "That would be nice. Thanks, Sticks. "

They both shared one last hug before they finished packing up.

Seven hours had already passed away after Tails told Amy to meet them at the famous burger shop.

While Amy took a break from packing, Sticks sneaked out of her cottage to go and find out what the guys are planning on. Tails eventually met up with her and filled her in. At first, Sticks thought that was a stupid idea.

"And they call me crazy... " She thought. But she realized it was worth a try. She went back to Amy's cottage to see her sleeping peacefully on her pink couch. Sticks looked at the wall clock and saw the time. They had twenty minutes to prepare for the plan so she decided to wake her up.

"Amy... "

Amy moaned in her sleep while Sticks gently shook her. "Amy! "

"... Nngh... " Amy groaned.

"Come on, Amy. We have to prepare for your dat-I mean, our meeting! With Tails and Knuckles... *fake cough*... Only... Eheh... "
