...
"AMELIA! Lunch is ready! " A red hedgehog called out to his cousin.
"Coming, Garnet! " He heard her call back to him from upstairs. "And can you call Josh as well, thanks! "
Upstairs, inside a yellow room; a peach colored teenage hedgehog was sitting on his bed texting someone. His eyes were jade green just like his dad, from downstairs, and aunt.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"Come in... " He replied calmly.
The door opened to reveal a beautiful pink twenty-one-year-old hedgehog with jade eyes, and a cheery smile. Her quills reached to her midback and her three bangs grew an inch longer than before. She wore a yellow top and blue skinny jeans.
That's right. This girl is none other than Amelia Rose.
She leaned on her nephew's door frame and gave him a sweet grin. Josh looked up to his aunt in wonder.
"Yeah? "
"Your dad said it's dinner time, Josh. "
Josh looked down and turn off his phone, still not moving from his place.
"*sigh* I heard you two fighting this morning again. " Amy said as she walked towards him and sat down right next to him. "You know he didn't mean to say that. "
"He called me 'a worthless son', Aunt Amy. " Josh looked down. "I know it's true but it still hurts coming from my own dad's mouth. "
"Don't say that! You're not worthless, Josh. You know how your that gets when his mad. He doesn't think straight. You're fourteen, you'll understand sooner or later. "
"I hope so... "
"C'mon, let's go eat. "
Josh smiled at his loving aunt. She reminds him so much like his deceased mother.
They both went downstairs and was greeted by a male's voice. "Finally! Food's getting cold, guys. "
"*giggle* Sorry, cous. But I had to clean up your mess, which still needs a few touches." She motioned the teenage hedgehog beside her. Garnet got the idea and nodded towards her. "I'll go get the mail. "
She left them both as she skipped outside, towards the mail box.
"Hmm,... Let's see. Junk mail... Junk mail... Junk... Junk... Ju-oh wait. My 'Rodents' Fab Galore' magazine, not junk.... Junk... Junk... A letter from Garnet's friend. Better take this to him. " She closed the mail box and walked towards their house.
When she entered, she saw the two hogs hugging each other. She smiled.
"Are you done? Cause I'm starving guys. Make sure you don't tear up on the food! *giggle*" Amy joked as the two broke their hug.
"Alright, let's eat. " Garnet said smiling towards his cousin and son.
While eating, Amy remembered the letter she was suppose to give. "By the way, *swallows food* a letter for you. "
