I knocked at A.J's office door.
"Come in", she sang from inside.
I stepped in and found her on her computer typing away and a table set up with some cakes and tea. She was prepared for my visit. A.J shut down her computer and led me over to the table.
" What brings me the honour?", I asked her while she served the tea.
" You are an interesting person GRAIL. So I just wanted to hang with you and get to know you. Also Bobby does not shut up about you and bugging me that we should work together. We should but after you come back from Hong Kong", she said smiling.
" You are well informed huh", I said to her as I took a sip from my tea.
Being in a room and chatting with A.J had a familiar feeling. Like I knew her long before we met and the vibes that surrounded her were incredible. I was always very curious on who she is. Behind that facade is a story I like to hear.
" Are you going to find Jackson?", she asked me smiling.
" Yeah. I am worried. He was acting strange and BamBam is worried too. There must be something wrong with him. You are friends too right? Has he contacted you?", I asked her hoping she had some answers.
She shook her head.
"No. He kept to himself the last weeks. I was about to fly out myself but I figured I might be the wrong person to get him back on track. I feel like that is more a job for you", she said seriously.
She indicated something with that but she did not explain what she meant. A.J changed the topic soon and we talked about music and I could ask her about her career. She trusted me enough that she revealed all the ups and downs she experienced. Her story was unique.
" That is how I got here. Apart from my family and clostest friends no one knows anything about this. I trust you and I would like us to become friends. Maybe you can show me some MA tricks or so. Somehow I feel like we did not just meet. Weird right?", A.J said with a weak smile.
I nodded.
" Yeah I had the same feeling. Maybe we are twins or so?", I said smirking and she burst out laughing and I joined in.
" You are the funniest among us. I like that. Next time I want to hear your story. You should head home. Jungkook texted me saying that Haon is waiting for you in the entrance area and I have to leave too. Here is my number. Text me when you hear something or you just want to chat", she sang and we walked out. I greeted Jungkook and we left the office and headed home with Mr.Won. I must have fallen asleep in the car since Haon woke me up.
"Noona we are home", he whispered to me and I woke up looking at him and making my way to my unit while he tagged along close behind me. We bid our goodbye to Mr.Won before we left.
"Goodnight", Haon said but I looked confused at him.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?", I asked him since I did not eat anything except the cakes.
He hesistated and then nodded but I knew he was lying.
"Come on I will show you some quick dinner. I have not eaten anything apart from cake so I am hungry...", I complained and I saw his face light up.
" Ok I will be fast", he said and ran past me into my kitchen and got ready. While I took my shoes off I gave him first instructions. So the rest of the evening passed by by us cooking, eating, cleaning up the mess we made and then he left. Although I swore myself not to let him get under my skin somehow I ended up feeling responsible for this kid. Also I feel like my bosses planned that or at least my gut tells me that they surely have planned that. It was midnight by the time I started to pack for our buisness trip. It was not too hard to choose from clothes since I did not have many and Jay told me that for events there will be a stylist for us who brings the right attire. All I needed to think about was some casual but also buisness outfits. I fell asleep around 3 am after starting to work on a new track. The last days I did not have much time to work on my own tracks. All I did was to work on others stuff which was ok but not my passion. There is a magic to it when you start a track from scratch and see it evolve.
