Reaper 76 before Overwatch

It was the next day and Gabe had a very big and very important Practical Exam today.

They where testing him on his agility, strength, speed and all around fitness levels.

"Hey- good luck" Jack patted him on the shoulder before Gabe left the room and shut the door.

Gabe smiled as he left, knowing that at least he had some support today...even if it was only from Jack..as he never did think he would pass it.

Jack opened the door to shout one last thing to Gabe before he went to his exam.

"I believe in You, Reyes!" He called down the hall which gained a toothy smile from the Spanish guy.

Jack grinned and began to get ready for his own training.

3 hours later.
Jack had sat alone in his room- waiting for Gave to come back when he heard his commanding officer talking on the in home radio.

"Soldier 76- A.k.a Jack Morrison- Please report to the 18s and over test facility- this is a message from commander Williams" the radio spoke.

"Why him? He was only sixteen and they wanted him there? Was this like a promotion or something? Surely not....or maybe?
He would just have to go and find out for himself.

He made his way to the facility to see Commander Williams waiting for him.
Jack saluted him with no expression on his face.

"We've had an incident" Williams invited Jack into the facility which was filled with large hoops and mega massive rock climbing walls.
We quickly realised that this was where Gabe was having his test.

He noticed Gabe sitting alone on a bench at the side of the course and walked over with Williams behind him.

"He refused to leave until we brought you to him" The man told him.

"Just give us a minute" Jack nodded to the commander and he walked away to the other side of the building.

"Gabriel, what's up?" He sat next to him and put A gentle hand on his back.

"I, uh..i failed" he huffed and shook his head.

"Wow, seriously?" Jack looked into Gabes deep Brown eyes.

"I'm sorry" Gabe sighed at Jack.

"You're sorry? Y-you're sorry to me?" Jack raised an eyebrow.

"I know you thought I would pass and.....i can imagine how disappointed you are in me and-'

"No, No, what? Disappointed? In you?" Jack was shocked.

"Gabe I wasn't even invited to do this test! That just shows how amazing you are" He rubbed his back.

"Let's go back to the room" He pulled Gabe off of the bench.

"Come on" He walked with his arm over his shoulder to comfort him.

"I'm so sorry" Gabe looked at Jack's blue eyes.

"Gabriel, it's fine" Jack smirked to show him that he was in no way disappointed.

"Come on- lets go back to the room" He smiled.
