"What?" Jack woke up to hear a loud beeping sound that reminded him of an alarm of some sort, he smelled thick smoke coursing through his nostrils.
He also heard a rapid heart beat.
He opened his large blue eyes and looked up at Gabriel who was carrying him.

The place was on fire.
Gabe ran as fast as he possibly could to escape the flames as he carried Jack.
There where burns all over his dark arms....jack knew they where his fault.

Gabriel ran through the fire as if it where nothing, groaning slightly at the pain but it didn't seem to bother him as much as it should.

Jack couldn't help but cough repeatedly.
It was actually scaring him that he couldn't stop it.

When they finally got outside tl wjerw everyone was standing (the fire exit point)
Gabriel lay Jack down on the grass, knowing that his legs wouldn't be able to hold him up.

"Are you okay?" He asked and knelt down on his knees so he was closer to the boy as a group of people swarmed them.
"Uh huh" Jack nodded, still coughing his guts up.
"You're okay" the Spanish boy sighed in relief at this, he leant down and hugged Morrison.

"Gabe, how could you be so stupid?" Ana hit him over the head with a medical bag.
"Hey, I got him didn't i?" He looked back at her.

"What happened?" Jack said through his coughs and Ana put an oxygen mask to his face.

"We where all out here, safe" Ana began as she removed the mask and squirted an inhaler into Jack's mouth before then replacing the mask on him again.

"All of us except for you, I guess you didn't hear the alarm and you where taking longer and longer so Gabe" she narrowed her eyes at the boy who she though his heroic actions where silly.

"Ran into a BURNING BUILDING to get you" She shook her head.
"Don't get me wrong I am thrilled that you're out, Jack but running into a building on fire? It's just silly" she explained.

"You really did that?" Jack asked him and he nodded.
"I had to" he told the blond boy.
"But your burns-"
"The burns don't matter" he told him.
"I just wanted you out of there" he sighed and Jack smiled.

"Jackson, are you okay, pal?" Commander Williams pushed through the group of soldiers, doctors to be, engineers  and dog trainers to see the boy.

He helped Jack to his feet and patted his back.
"I- I'm fine, sir" Jack nodded to him.
"And you" he looked at Reyes who stood up so they where head level.

"That took guts, kid" he put his hand out to shake Gabriels.
"Real courage" he nodded to him.
"Yeah, thanks Williams"Gabriel thanked him for appreciating what he had just did.

"And great work, Amari" he smiled at the girl who was putting all her things back in her large medical bag.
"Thank you sir, I try my best" she smiled at him.
"Keep it up" he told her with a smile.

"Everybody, Salute!" Commander Williams shouted as Cheif Arnit stood by his side.

Hearing this everyone got into a large line saluting the people who where in charge of them.

"Until the damage is fixed  you will all be staying in a complimentary home for soldiers with families" Chief Arnit told them in her loud voice.
"In the home you will be assigned room mates, they will most likely be the room mates you currently have unless the room holds more than 2 in which then you will be sharing with three."

"If you understand salute me soldiers"
She ordered them and they all saluted.
"Chief?" Ana raised her hand to ask a question and the woman walked over to her.
"Is it the Braxton soldier home?" She asked her and the chief nodded.
"Yes, infact it is" She smiled.
"The one where my daughter is kept?" Ana asked and the woman nodded.

"Will I be able to see her?" She asked and the woman nodded.
"Of course! You can't keep a woman from her pride and joy!"
