Francis picked him up and was surprised to find John nearly in tears.

"What the hell did he do?! Did he hurt you?!"

John shuddered and handed Francis 300 of the $700. "No,"

"John, why are you crying?"

"I'm not," he said softly.

"You are. What'd he do?"

"I think I like him, dammit!!"

There was heavy silence before Francis broke it. "You mean... you are romantically attracted to a man who used you for your body?"

"He didn't, Francis. He saw the bruises,"

"Bruises!?"

"And he wouldn't have sex with me. He kissed me. He gave me his number,"

"O-oh," Francis swallowed. "What will you do?"

"I don't know. I'll start with a text,"

John Laurens: Um, Alexander?

Alexander Hamilton: John?

J. Laur: Yes. What happened tonight? I'm...confused.

A. Ham: I can't hurt you more. I don't know what those other people have done to you.

J. Laur: I'm fine. I chose this road. Why'd you give me the money when you didn't use me?

A. Ham: You need it. It's not like I do. Are you booked this week?

J. Laur: No. My manager didn't receive any calls. I'm empty this week.

A. Ham: I want you all seven days starting tomorrow. Tell your manager that I can pick you up at the Carousel at 10 tomorrow. If you are up to it.

J. Laur: I'll tell him.

Internally, John was queasy. He didn't want to be caught up with a strange man for a whole week, but at the same time, he couldn't resist Alexander.

"Francis,"

"Yeah?"

"Alexander wants me for a whole week,"

Francis' eyes widened. "Do you want him?"

"Yes," no chance to back out.

Francis gulped. "Okay. You're booked with him. Be so extra careful,"

John nodded and sent another text to Alexander.

J. Laur: He said yes. I'll be there.

A. Ham: Good. Get...get some sleep, okay?

J. Laur: Yes, sir.

A. Ham: Not sir, John.

J. Laur: Yes, Alexander.

A. Ham: Good boy.

There was something about that phrase — John shuddered and shifted his hips.
