Chapter 19

After what the staff has been hearing for the past several of months, they think that Smash Mansion should form back into a school. The rumors started to spread around the whole mansion, leaving the students irritated and speechless. Ike ran up to Zelda saying, “Oh my gosh! Did you hear the news? Smash Mansion might be back to a regular school like it was before”. “WHAT? Are you serious? NO! I love it how the way it is. We need to let everybody know about it”, Zelda screamed. After finding out, Ike and Zelda went to tell their friends about it and eventually spread to the point where the school knew about it. The next day, Ganondorf saw Ike and Zelda and had a little word with them. “So you two, I heard that you told your fellow student body that we might turn Smash Mansion back to a regular school? We’re having  a debate if they agree or not. Would you two and the fellow student body like to join?”, Ganondorf asked politely. “Uh, yeah sir. We’d love to”, Zelda answered. “Good. Meet at the quad two days from now in the morning”, Ganondorf explained as he left.

The morning of the debate, Ike and Zelda told their friends about what the staff has in stored. They step into the plate and want to be apart of the whole debate. “The staff is planning to make Smash Mansion a hell place. We need at least some freedom”, Kirby yelled. “Kirby, can you not yell please”, Daisy asked. “Well, it needs to be heard, so might as well yell”, Kirby replied. “Like, don’t yell in my ear”, Daisy whispered. “Guys, the debate is in a few. We need to win this. The administration is going to be there, and we need to have very good points, plus counter arguments. Does everyone have what they’re going to say”, Zelda explained and asked. Everyone nodded their heads. Peach walks by and says, “What is going on losers”? “Well, the staff wants Smash Mansion to be a school again which means less freedom”, Daisy explained to her. “Well, even though I hate the majority of you, but I do agree with how Smash Mansion is. We should at least have one class, and then that’s it”, Peach explained. “Peach, shockingly I like that idea. So does that mean you’re going to debate with us”, Luigi asked. “Should I?”, Peach asked herself. Zelda goes near her and touches her shoulder. “It effects on our lives individually and us together. If they win, it’s legit going to be a school again. More classes and so forth. But what we want to do, at least have a class or two and then just be done with. They’re trying to stress us out with tons and tons or work. Meanwhile with us, we won’t be much stressed out as they’re trying to make us. Yeah, you hate me and all, but we need you, because your ideas are brilliant. Please? Do it for the rest of the student body and us”, Zelda explained. “Fine, I’ll do it. And thanks Zelda. Much appreciate it”, Peach replied. Everybody cheered.

The debate was in the school quad, the staff was on the left side and the students was on the right. The staff went first. “The staff decided that we should start the school back up academic wise, because we think the situations that have been happening are getting out of hand. Plus, the students need to be occupied and have classwork to do. We’re planning to have 6 classes for the students so they can be more focused on their school work than pointless things going on”, Donkey Kong, the weight lifting teacher explained. Ike walked up and explained, “Us students decided that Smash Mansion should stay the same as it is, because we as a student body think that if you guys gives us too much work, it’s going to stress us out, and it would be very irritating. Also, we’re thinking of instead having 6 classes, to have 3 classes, because most of the classes you guys have we won’t need in the future. Lastly, if we have too many classes and work, we wouldn’t be able to hang out with friends on free time. We’d be sitting in our apartments, doing school work the entire weekend”.

“All the things you students done has been such a distraction. It’s caused a lot of trouble on campus”, Ganondorf brought up a point. “Well, to be exact, the drama that happened on school campus was a long time ago. And ever since then, the drama has been settled. Yeah, not all of the student body can get along, but that’s what school is about. You’re going to meet great and horrible people in your life. You just have to deal with what’s going on, and try your best to do something about it. That’s what we’ve done in the past few months”, Zelda explained. The students were cheering for Zelda as she was sitting back down. “But here’s the thing, you guys get so unfocused when it comes to free time. You guys don’t even do your work. Which made a bad impact”, Bowser, the history teacher added. “But yet, when we do the work, we actually turn it in, but you staff don’t even check our work”, Samus pointed. Peach got up and went forward and explained, “I honestly think you guys are pushing things too far to the point where we don’t even want to do anything. Like if we have little classes, we’d be less stressed out, and we’d also have time to hang out with the people we enjoy hanging out with. Yeah, we’re the top school, doesn’t mean you have to give us so much work. You teachers need a break too. Having less classes would mean pretty much, you’d have less work to grade. Everyone at some point need to take a break and just slow down. Us, the student body LOVES how the school is NOW. Don’t change it, because if you guys did, it definitely wouldn’t be the same”. The student body cheered for Peach.

The administration had to make a decision about who wins the debate. Everyone in the squad is waiting patiently to hear the results. The students were scared, because they think they’re going to lose. “Babe, I think we might lose”, Zelda told Ike. “Honey, don’t think that. To be honest, we did a fantastic job presenting ourselves properly. I think we got this one. Okay?”, Ike explained. “Okay”, Zelda agreed. Ike and Zelda kissed each other.

The administration comes back out and announces, “Staff, you brought up really good point for the students and it was well done. Students, the way you portrayed yourselves, and how you spoke and gave your ideas was incredible. The way you had counter arguments and brought really great points was also incredible. The winner of the debate and which means the way the school is going to be is..”. The staff and students were both anxious to hear the winner. “THE STUDENTS”, administration announced. The student body was screaming, jumping up and down and hugging each other. Ike and Zelda hugged each other tightly. Luigi hugged Daisy. “Luigi, this is the first time you hugged me! I enjoyed it”, Daisy realized and kissed him. Luigi started to blush. Ganondorf went to say congrats to them. “You guys did amazing. I’m proud of you”.

(Zelda’s POV)

So, we did it. We won the debate, which means Smash Mansion is back to the way it is. I’m super happy that we won. I honestly thought we were going to lose. Now, more memories to come and I’ll enjoy those memories well. I know I will.
