Side of Her and You

Chapter 6

            It was the next day after the battle, Zelda woke up before Ike, and went to get some apple juice. As she was drinking her apple juice, she checks her phone and gets a random text from her dad. Zelda was pretty shocked and read what it said. It said, “Hi honey, I just want to tell you something. Remember your best friend, Helena”? She typed back, “Yeah. What’s going on?”. Her dad wrote back, “Well, some ugly beast attacked her”. “Oh my gosh!! Is she okay or no?”, Zelda asked him. “No she isn’t. She passed away. I’m sorry, Zelda”, her dad wrote back. Zelda didn’t write back and was in total shocked. She was trying so hard not to go into tears. Ike finally wakes up and approaches, “Good morning gorgeous”. “Morning Ike. There’s some leftovers from last night in the fridge”, Zelda quietly replies back. “Hey, is there something wrong. You seem down”, Ike asked. It took Zelda a away to answer back, and said softly, “Have you ever lost somebody. Somebody that’s been important”. “Not really. Why?”, Ike asked. “My best friend back in my old town, Helena got attack by an ugly beast and passed away”, Zelda told him about to break down in tears. Ike hugged her really tight. “I’m very sorry about your loss. You know I’m always there for you. You should know that”, Ike told her. She was trying really hard to smile. “Hey, how about today, I’ll also know about your strengths and weaknesses. Is that fine?”, Ike asked. “Yeah of course. And I also want to know your strengths and weaknesses too. If that’s fine”, Zelda asked. Ike nodded his head. They both sat down on the one bed, and started. “I’ll go first, my strengths are defending myself when people fight me, not showing much emotion yeah very shocking, and be there for people. My weaknesses is trying to stand up for myself, trying to be different, and being the one person people enjoy”, Zelda confessed. “Gorgeous, when you stood up infront of your mom, that’s very shocking. I could never do that to my mom that’s for sure. You do definitely show emotion at times. But here’s my strengths.. I’m a non emotional person, I practice fighting everyday, and I gain a lot of confidence just because of fighting. Although, my weaknesses are people not loving me, getting bullied and not standing up for myself, and… nobody in my family loved me, and it’s hard for me to truly love someone”, Ike replied as he broke down into tears. Zelda was shocked when she heard his weaknesses. “But I know somebody that truly loves you”, Zelda said as she try to comfort him. “Who”, Ike asked. “Me. You should know that. I’ve never loved somebody so amazing as you. I’m glad I’m having the time to spend it with you”, Zelda explained to him. Ike smiled a bit and said, “I’m going to go and practice fighting. I’ll be back inside later”. “Okay. Have fun”, Zelda said. As Ike went outside to practice, Zelda was thinking, “No wonder Ike barely shares emotion. He goes through a lot actually. He at one point should express more feelings that’s for sure. That’s my mission”.
