"This curse started with you." Ferrer finally woke up after falling off the couch.
He gave us a good laugh but we are a little concerned about him. He doesn't usually drink unless he isn't working. But when he gets high, it is insane. Last night's bachelor party was interesting, given the two people I was with are both single. We had a few other guys with us but as much as I am surrounded by people, I can't help but note Cole's absence. He used to be the one who served as the designated driver. He was the one who would snatch away the bottle if he thought either of us had enough. I miss him.
Bruce isn't there either. He iss some place far away probably with a gun pointed at someone. That leaves the three of us.
"Please explain." I handed him a bottle of water when he finally stabilized himself.
"You." He pointed Nick. "You brought this marriage curse when you married Margaux. Then you infected Tony and now look at us. We are entrusting him to Bea Bianca? We don't even know her level of crazy!"
He believes every woman is crazy especially the prettiest ones.
"It's his choice. Don't dissuade him or you'll know how crazy Bianca is." Nick chuckled. "We should probably get dressed. We don't have that much time."
"Marc Anthony, a word." My father called me upstairs.
I am curious about what he has to say. He has been a little mellow of late.
"Dad."
"Son." He began. "I never knew we would get here. I told you that marriage isn't something Bellingerre men do. That is why I'm proud of you for changing tbe tide. I'm not the kind of man to wear his heart on his sleeves but I want you to know that I've always loved you the most."
"Really?"
"Yes. You came from the woman I love. What do you expect?"
"You were harder on me than the others."
"Because your upbringing was important to me. I have always known Naila wasn't my daughter. I have always known Rei only wanted the money and it was such a relief to know I could take him off my will. But you my son, you've always been my favorite. You are after all the fruit of Marianna's womb. And you know I love her. Naturally, I lov you."
"I'm honoured?" I struggled to give the right answer. This is odd. Wayne telling me he loves me? Heartless Wayne?
"Yes you should be. I only love a handful of people and you are one of them. I don't know what father's say to their sons on their wedding day so I'll just cut to the chase. Congratulations my boy, you've made me proud."
He patted my back and we both started laughing at how awkward it is. We are never this mushy with each other. We thrive on saying mean things and moving on to fight another day.
"I think we should stick to being mean. It's better that way."
"I agree! This is weird!"
"Done." We shook hands.
"So cute. But you know he's all me, right?" She pulled me to her side. I did inherit her genes but I got my height from my father. Thank goodness!
"Yes he is. I was just the sperm doner." He laughed. "I love you both. Let's have a beautiful and memorable day."
Bea's POV
"Long.""Short."
"Long."
"Short."
I am getting tired of Naila and Marianna arguing about my reception gown. Naila has bought me a short one settling somewhere mid thigh. It is showing ample cleavage defining sexy to a whole new level. It's scandalous! Marianna has made me a beautiful floor length one that makes elegance an understatement.
