"Let's go over it one more time Miss Buchanan." The police officer spoke earning my full attention.

I glanced at Tony and he nodded assuring me it was okay.

"Last night I got a note from Simon, Tony's driver. It was about eight in the night. The note was apparently from Marc Anthony asking me to meet him out back. I did just that going through the kitchen. A few of the kitchen staff can attest to this. Out back I met Lawrence and he confessed that the note was a ploy to get me to meet him. We argued-"

"About what?"

I glanced at Tony. He nodded again giving me a go ahead to answer.

"About Marc Anthony." I answered. "I was in a relationship with Lawrence before I met Marc and he has never gotten over our break up. He was jealous about our relationship."

The officer made some notes. "Carry on."

"I ended the discussion and wanted to go back in when he injected me with something in my left arm."

He glanced at Tony who matched his serious gaze.
"What happened then?"

"I lost consciousness. I woke up the next morning in a cabin."

"Alone?"

"What is that supposed to mean?" Marc Anthony questioned.

"Mr Bellingerre with all due respect we are trying to establish a timeline here. Your fiance is an adult and we don't need you in this room. Can we carry on without your interruption?"

"Go on." Tony agreed.

"Yes, I woke up alone."

"How long were you alone?"

"Not long. Lawrence came in."

"Was there anything that transpired between you two?"

"In what sense officer? What are you insinuating?" I asked before Tony could.

"I ask the questions Miss Buchanan. You answer the questions."

"I asked him why he took me captive. Nothing happened between us-"

"That you are aware of." He noted. "Was a rape kit conducted?"

"I wasn't raped. If it happened I would know!"

"Or perhaps you consented-"

"Stop disrespecting my fiancee. Watch what you say or you'll be sorry." Tony intervened.

"Perhaps it's you we should be focusing on! A man is missing! A young woman was shot and the two of you are not cooperating."

"Do I need my lawyers?" Tony asked him.

"Are you guilty of something?"

"If you keep asking provoking questions, we will leave."

"Did he really take you captive or did you willingly leave with him in a bid to escape Mr Bellingerre?" He carried on like he doesn't care. "Then things went badly and you changed your mind and wanted to return? Is that it?"

"Since you know so much, stop wasting our time. Come on love. Let's go." Tony took my hand.

"If you leave this friendly conversation I'm afraid I'll have an investigation officially opened." The police officer threatened us.

"You call this friendly? My fiancée was abducted, traumatized and came close to death and you want to paint her a criminal?"

"I'm simply doing my job Mr Bellingerre."

"Then my lawyers will do theirs. From now on you will not question either of us in the absence of our lawyers. Whatever vendetta you're nursing here, make sure you get it right mate. Because if you don't, I'll sue you to oblivion."
